Welcome to Home Florence Hotel, nice and cozy villa just by Florence downtown! White though apparently pure and simple is the color including all the other colors. When crossing crystal a white light beam turns out into a rainbow unveiling its hidden complexity. At Home Florence you can experience the same shy and composite sophistication. Modern design characterized by pure and perfect elements sweetly melts with the elegance of an historical Florentine palace. The result is an harmonious balance of lounges and decors where white with golden details is the predominant color.Home Florence is located along the Arno River in the very heart of Florence historical center, close by the main tourist attractions of the city such as Basilica di Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio, Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore and Uffizi Gallery.

The hotel (now called Eurostars Florence Boutique) gave a very good impression from the moment of our arrival. It's a handsome building from the outside and the entrance and reception area is beautifully decorated. The receptionist who greeted us was charming and rushed to help with our bags, and explained all the hotel services very well. Our room (308) wasn't huge but having read the description and dimensions I wasn't expecting it to be. However it wasn't at all cramped and the bed was very large and comfortable. Folding wooden shutters kept the light out very well at night. There was very slight traffic noise from the nearby road but not enough to disturb us, and otherwise the hotel was very quiet inside at all times. The breakfast included in the room rate was very nice and the ladies who served it were so pleasant and helpful, they cooked my eggs specially for me on two mornings as the serving dish had run out. We never had to wait to be served. The coffee was good too. One of the best features of the hotel is the lovely roof terrace with panoramic views of Florence from all angles, what a special place to sit and relax after a day's sightseeing. We felt the hotel represented excellent value for money for such a nice property and intend to return at the earliest opportunity. Only one small negative - it would be nice if more care could be taken of the plants on the roof terrace as most of them looked in need of more watering, dead-heading and pruning, and it is a pity to let down such a lovely outside space.

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights in August 2021 and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is now owned by Eurostars but it is still a Home hotel to us. Our room was on the top floor, a junior suite I believe and had the most amazing view for sunsets and overlooking the city and historical sites. The rooftop also has an incredible 360 view but we didn’t venture up there much since ours was so good. The staff were very helpful, everyone wore masks. The breakfast was delicious. It was a buffet however because of COVID, the employee assembled and handed the guests their food choices. The coffee was amazing. Dinner recommendations by the staff, Daniele and Fabio, were perfect. Fabio arranged a guide who took us to the museums. Everyone and everything couldn’t have been nicer.

Hotel Florence is a relatively new boutique hotel in downtown Florence and its a great choice if you are stopping in this area. It's new, clean, and has great retro decor. Our room was spacious, clean and we also enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. I don't know this area well, and we only stopped for a night on our drive home but I thought it was a great choice.

And that’s what this hotel has.. heart.. as well as a great location.. Tasteful minimalist design is the motif of this hotel located 10-15 minutes walk from most of the main sights in Florence. And it’s that distance from sights like Duomo cathedral that give the hotel its greatest asset... a roof terrace with glorious views of the whole city. I had breakfast here nearly every day and it made the hotel worth it on its own. The rooms were not quite as stunning - my room looked like a mattress on the floor (which was apparently an ultra stylish Tokyo bed) and had no windows. But after complaining I eventually got a better room with windows and a proper bed two nights later. Breakfast was great too but got very busy as there was not enough room for all the guests (and luckily they hadn’t found the roof terrace). I was looked after well by the staff - especially by Daniel in particular - who organised me a restaurant nearly every night and found the best tours and helped out with everything I needed. Giuseppe and all the other staff were also professional. All in all its a great place to stay and it is very reasonable - in short - there’s no place like Home.

Can only agree with what other reviewers have said: this is a small-ish, clean and comfortable hotel made special by the genuine focus on good customer service from all the staff. Special mention to Michele (forgive the spelling) who is one of those people who genuinely wants everyone to have a good time and enjoys helping them out even though he was obviously run off his feet a lot of the time. The distance wasn't a problem for us - it's a simple 10 minute walk straight along the road from Dante's statue next to Santa Croce. It is about as far again from the Duomo as SMN station is to it though, so too far with suitcases on cobbled roads in heat. The roof terrace views of the Florence skyline as the sun sets and picks out the towns in the hills around it were a definite plus, as was the hotel's relaxed views on the honesty bar or just taking your own up to sit and enjoy. The riverside location suited us too - if you're happy to mix with the locals and try out afew basic Italian phrases then this is a great spot for heading where they do for aperitivo. You can either head down in the riverside park (just a basic outdoor bar but very relaxed and friendly and full of locals catching up) or a 10 minute walk up the main road that goes past the hotel away from the river and turn right at the old gatehouse (now in the middle of a roundabout) where you'll find afew decent street bars & restaurants (and a large Coop round the corner). I would have given this 5 stars to reflect the hotel's comforts and great customer service ethos, but for two points: like most of Italy's hotels in converted historic buildings the rooms have been built into wherever they could be fit (it took a couple of days to work out the best route to breakfast through the maze), and on our first night we were put into a ground floor room which looked to be their disability-adapted room. It was just as clean and comfortable as the other rooms but we could see pedestrians' heads as they passed (there are shutters on the windows though). We were moved to the second floor for the rest of the week which was fine. The other thing I would recommend the hotel changes next time they refurbish is the breakfast room - it would be great as a wine bar with its all-white decor, quirky seating and big curved tables at various heights, but not so great for seating guests at breakfast. No doubt social distancing was a factor but I doubt it could accommodate everyone arriving for breakfast in normal times either (you could take a tray away), and even then you're sitting around a big table with other guests, and we could see afew groups who'd travelled together negotiating to be able to sit with each other. Not something that spoiled our stay at all, just something that would make the hotel even better if changed. All in all though a great base for a week and would happily return.

Response from Hotel Manager, Direttore generale at Hotel Home Florence
Responded Sep 27, 2020
Dear RSNewcastle, Thank you very much for taking your time in reviewing in such detailed way your stay in our hotel and for all the tips given for the new costumers. We are hasppy to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for your compliments regarding our staff, we always try to do our best to ensure a pleasent and relaxing stay to every single guest. Hotel Home has this name because we really want to make feel our guests as they were at their own home: "a home away from home". The hotel is build in a historic palace which wasn't born to be a hotel, for this reason there are some rooms that needs to be reached by sters and could seem a little bit a kind of labirint. Regarding the brekfast area we understand that some people may prefer single tables, we decided to put one big and few smalls to be different from other hotels. We hope to welcome you back soon here at Hotel Home Florence. Best Reagrds, Hotel Manager
