I would have given Ginori a 5 star if it wasn't for the bad experience on our first night. We were extremely exhausted when we finally arrived late night at the hotel, only to find we were given a dark and hot room in attic with a huge exposed beam right above the bed. Anyway we were given a different...

We also stayed in the room by the breakfast room but loved it! Traveling is all about different experiences. We enjoyed this quaint hotel in our room with wooden door and cathedral ceilings. We highly recommend checking out the wine cellar from the 1400's in the basement. We had a private tasting and then were left to drink our bottle...

As previous traveller said......we were put in same room, downstairs, adjacent to the breakfast room. Our only window opened into the breakfast area and our door opened straight into the same area. Again, when we asked for a different room we were shown the dark hole of a place on the third floor. It was a disgrace. Dark, tired and...

Dear Jennifer, we're sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at the Hotel Ginori al Duomo, but it'also a matter of taste, if you consider the following review the reaction to the same room is very different. We had no other rooms available when you asked to change, and in fact we gave you a quiet room in a building...

We took our 18 year old granddaughter to Italy for her HS graduation gift. We booked a triple room at Hotel Ginori and the room we were given was not a triple room. It had no window to the outside and was practically in the middle of the breakfast room. We asked if this was indeed a 4-5 Star hotel...

This hotel has a fantastic location; 5 mins from the dome. It's an old building & the decor may not be to everyone's taste - there's a lot of strong colours & dark furniture & could perhaps do with some replays teeing; but for us this wasn't a big issue. The staff are very helpful & great selection of breakfast...

Small room for my family of four but the staff was super friendly and the breakfast buffet and coffee bar was great. Can not beat the location- close to all the major sites yet off the beaten path to get away from the crowds of tourist.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ginori al Duomo. The location is excellent and the hotel is in a charming 16th century building. It is a very easy walk from the train station and everything you'd want to see. The staff were available and helpful. Breakfast was included and everything we could want. My only complaint is that we...

The concierges at Hotel Ginori are outstanding. My mom caught a bad head cold, and they helped us find the right medicine from the pharmacy. Breakfast was delicious, and the room was quiet at night. The hotel is centrally located, and everything seemed to be a 10-min walk or less.

We enjoyed this hotel more than the others in Florence (we had 3 of them). It is a real 1400s palazzo. The ceiling is painted like in Ufficci. Excellent beds, antique and stylized furniture. The breakfast is the best among 4-star Florence hotels we've stayed in. Several hot choices and a large variety of cakes. For coffee ask for attendance,...

My family stayed here for a week and we can't say enough good things! The breakfast was very good and there was a beautiful sitting area to enjoy it! By the third day they would start preparing us cappuccinos as soon as they saw us come downstairs. You would never guess how old the building is, everything is updated and...
