Absolutely the best place I stayed during my entire trip in Italy! Marta and her mother are genuinely kind and went above and beyond to help me with anything I needed along the way. I can’t say enough good things: I loved my room, the garden is lovely, and it was so fun to share a delicious breakfast with other guests from all over the world! The B&B is located close enough to all the good stuff in the city center to feel quickly accessible but is tucked away in a quiet street so you can escape the chaos and crowds when you’re finished touring for the day. Honestly I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to land during my time in Florence.
Absolutely wonderful! Lovely host Marta and her mom Donetella! Beautiful place, amazing breakfast, , beautiful and comfortable rooms! We highly recommend your next stay out in Italy with them! 10 stars all the way!!
We spent three nights here in September and were very happy. Its quiet but close enough to walk to most of the key tourist spots. Bus is also available right around the corner. You will get to experience a little of the Florence lifestyle when you stay here. We ate breakfast on the patio each morning and interacted with our host. Breakfast choices included various pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, and eggs to order with a little marinated tomatoes. Our host was very willing to help us with any travel needs and to discuss life as someone who runs a B&B in Florence. Would recommend and will definitely stay here on our next visit to Florence.
We didn't want to leave! A simply amazing residence, quiet and proximate to the city centre. Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating. A sumptuous breakfast was served in an outdoor patio with eggs made to order. You can trust the positive reviews. A real gem.
To truly enjoy Florence, choose this quiet Oltrarno just steps from the swirl of activity. Spacious, quiet, abundant breakfast in a sunny, magical garden. Marta creates a warm gathering space of hospitality with delicious breakfast options for every palate. Immaculate rooms and bathrooms with old world touches. Very close to the Siena-bound bus route, the old city walls, and all the traditions of Old Florence in the Oltrarno. To avoid the crowds, consider this B&B for your best visit to Florence. I’m glad I discovered this gem. And the lovely watercolors crafted by family of the host!
We suggest you read all the good reviews on B&B Monte Oliveto. They are all true. This B&B is simply fantastic and worth every penny. Much thanks to the personal attention and care Martha and the others give their guests. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, far from all the tourist crowds and noise. You may have to walk a bit or take a taxi but it is worth it when you virtually live in a small, Italian garden. Rooms are rustic in style, clean and confortable. We had one with bath - spacious and very clean. A very point is the fact that the guests dine around an oval table, seating 8. This way you meet your fellow tourists, have great talks and company. We had guests from Lithuania, England, Irland, Israel and Canada during our 3 days. A really pleansant arrangement. It should also be added that there are many good eateries within a 5-10 minute walks and we found really great, authentic restaurants around. Our sincere thanks to Monte Oliveto.…
An incredible experience! The location is perfect, close to city centre but still quiet and private. You can walk to almost everything. The rooms are very clean and nice. Breakfast was exquisite! Marta is the perfect hostess, she’s warm and welcoming and makes you feel like home. She even made us breakfast-bags to our flight home because it was so early. Magical. We would without doubt come back here again, the best B&B there is!
Fantastic B&B near the historic center of Florence. The room was good, with a comfortable bed and AC. Walking distance to everything you want to see in Florence. Marta really made our one-day stay in Florence a fantastic experience, showed us where to go and where to eat. Even gave us a great itinerary for our trip further south the following day. A great place to stay, and I can't recommend it enough.
The house is in walking distance of all the action, yet just outside of it, so it's a quiet neighborhood. Stay here if you want to get a good night's sleep! The host, Marta, and was very hospitable. She lives at the house and makes an amazing breakfast. If only I took a picture of the more grand breakfast the day before... She event went as far as reserving museum tickets for me and planning my road trip through Tuscany. Grazie mille!
There aren't enough stars for how good this B&B is. Marta was the best host, recommending attractions, making reservations at (great) local restaurants and even allowing us to check in early to sleep after a long overnight flight. The B&B itself is wonderfully charming and spacious; the breakfast each morning was extensive and delicious. The B&B is located close enough to popular attractions across the river without being too close to the crowds. It's also near great local restaurants, pizzerias, a Gelateria and an ATM.
