I wish we could give this hotel more stars. We had such a wonderful time in it. The hotel has four suites. We were given one that had windows facing the square. The room was very spacious, with a couch and table in addition to the bed. We were so comfortable in the room that we spent most of our time relaxing in it when we weren't exploring the town. We stayed for 4 nights over new years while on our honeymoon. There was a christmas market in the square below us so we could enjoy the festivities without having to be in the cold all the time. We were a block away from the main square in town where they had the main new years celebration. The location is great. Right in the heart of Cortona. It was easy to get to everything we wanted to see without having the walk too far uphill. The breakfast was outstanding. It's delivered to your door at a time you pick. It's a large spread of everything you could think of. In addition to this we recieved coffee upon arrival, daily cookies in the room, and complimentary champagne and chocolate for new years. Our suite also is equipped with a sauna, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It worked very well and you have a lot of control over the settings and it was good to use. We cannot rate this hotel high enough. It felt like we had our own apartment in the heart of cortona, with all the added conveniences of being at a hotel. We will absolutely be staying here again if we come back to Cortona.…
We arrived late and were kindly left a number to telephone. Alessandra arrived quickly to let us in and show us our room. It was absolutely beautiful. Fresco’s pained on the beautiful beamed ceilings. Marvellous terracotta stone tiles on the floor and a well appointed bathroom. Modern and clean. We had the best views over the central square. Every morning Alessandre would bring in a trolley of delights. Scrambled egg. Sausages, cheeses, croissants, cakes and sandwiches. As well as fresh coffee and tea. There is also a mini bar fridge, with payable snacks, useful to store wine. There is a tv but you won’t use it. Far to much to do and see. Bed is very comfortable. Cortona is a very steep hill town. From the car parks you can access the town by using escalators, however be warned after 8, they are turned off, and to lug a suitcase up to the town is very hard. Best to drop the case off and park later if arriving late. Some fabulous places to eat in cortona. Most supprisingly reasonable. I have to say this is the best centrally placed apartment and town to visit. I would definitely go back.…
Stayed here for one night before moving onto Tuoro sul Trasimeno ... we were able to drop off cases and then park the car on the outside walls of Cortona (narrow streets though so drive carefully). Room lovely and literally in the centre of Cortona next to the theatre ... great service and amazing breakfast. Very clean and air conditioning. As it is in the centre expect some noise though - not an issue but you are in the centre of the town. Also, se aware there are a number of flights of stairs to tackle :) Overall a great little place.
Fantastic place in the heart of Cortona! We are in Cortona for the second time, but it is the first here in Cortona Suites! It is a fantastic place and I can say that we had the best breakfast in Italy so far! Very helpful and friendly staff! Totally recommend it!
We stayed at the Cortona Suite for one night while traveling to Florence. Cortona is a beautiful, and typically quiet small hill town and I wanted to show it to my wife prior to visiting any of the other large cities. Cortona Suite offered a stylish, comfortable, clean room right in the heart of Cortona. What was supposed to be a quiet evening, ended up being a fascinating experience because we happened to be there during a medieval festival...and we had a great view right from our bedroom window! The next morning we woke up to an incredible array of breakfast items waiting for us. We really enjoyed the hospitality, location and thought experience of our stay at the Cortona Suite and we highly recommend it. By the way, the steep stairs that are necessary to climb in order to reach the Cortona Suite are all worth it once you enter your room and enjoy the location! …
