Stayed in Cortona for 3 nights, used it as a Base to travel around. This hotel has the most stunning views we have ever seen! Just breathtaking. The rooms are a little dated but doesn't matter when u have a balcony with that view. It is located right off the main street so is perfect. Staff were lovely too. Would... More

Past two years stayed at Hotel Italia but decided to try something else. San Luca has very good location as you don't need to climb to reach the main street and most of the restaurants. The first impression when arriving is very nice, but rooms, although good, are not as nice as the lobby. Got a four person room as... More

Important to note we visited in 2010 (had to click on 2015 by default). This is a great choice to make if you are visiting Cortona, the town in Under A Tuscan Sun. The hotel is a little older but clean and well maintained. I saw a few other hotels there that I would not recommend. Perfect location to visit... More

Positives:This hotel has THE BEST location in Cortona - it is the only one with free parking where you do not need to drive through the old town. The view from the hotel is spectacular, and the restaurant outside is wonderful. The triple room is small and quite basic, but comfortable enough. The breakfast is acceptable (ham, yoghurt, fruit, croissants)... More

Good sized room by European standards which were basic but comfortable. Breakfast was served on the balcony with magnificent views. However, if you had late breakfast the tables had not been cleared and there was no food left, including basics like cereal, fruit, coffee and hot water. The staff made it seem like an imposition to get hot water let... More

Wonderful stay. The rooms may seem small, but if you are not going to stay in the room often, there really is no concern. We had a room for 3 people, 2 double and a single. Beds were suitable and shower pressure was appreciated! Hotel amenities and accommodations exceeded expectations. Staff were helpful and answered questions. Lovely terrace for breakfast,... More

Just come back from a lovely week or so staying in the Cortona area. Stayed here 4 nights - room for 2/couple. Pro's: fantastic views, good location for the hotel, right where you'd want it to be for Cortona friendly & very helpful reception staff especially older tall guy Con's Dodgy, small lifts Rooms are simply sub-standard for a '4'star'... This was our second time staying here. You cannot beat the fantastic view from the balcony rooms. Since our previous visit 7 years earlier they have removed the carpet in the rooms and replaced with wood vinyl which is an improvement. The beds are comfortable, the WiFi in rooms very weak (but free), the A/C adequate and free continental breakfast... More

This is probably the largest hotel in the charming town of Cortona and it is conveniently located on the lower level of the town with drive in accessibility. You enter on the top level and all the rooms are on lower levels. That said, it is oriented towards group business and could use some updating and some love. Our room... More

I stayed here two nights in May; I had been here several years earlier. This hotel clings to the side of the mountain Cortona is on; the five or more stories go down, so the picture of the entrance to the hotel does not give a sense of its size. Most if not all the rooms look out over the... More
