Rather difficult drive up a winding two track farm road with switch backs to the end of the road where the B and B is located. The rooms are large and very comfortable with modern bathrooms. Terrific view over Cortona and the valley below. Wonderful hosts who are very helpful with information regarding the region. Very good and wholesome breakfasts...

We stayed for the second time in the Locanda this summer and it was just as good as we remembered it. Fabulous views, great rooms, delicious breakfasts and fantastic hospitality from Sonia and Massimo, who greeted us like old friends. The wood fired pizza (which you need to book in advance) deserves a special mention. I really couldn't recommend this...

While this property is a little tricky to find (about 10 minutes from Cortona), it is well worth the effort! The owners provide good directions and are very helpful. The views are spectacular. The rooms we had felt very "Tuscan" and were immaculate. Sonia and Massimo are wonderful hosts. Besides providing a delicious, home-baked breakfast, they are happy to help...

A dream who became a true. Place for quite, wine and views across the landscape...Simple lovely...And what to say more - just come down to everything they saw, they felt and experienced for themselves...And you have to visit the Avignonesi winery...P.S. The road to Locanda test your drive skills :)

We loved everything!!! This B&B is a little magical gem on the hill with spectacular views of the valley and Cortona. The sunsets are just beautiful. The whole style of the house and the rooms reflect refined simplicity of the Tuscan traditions: stone, bricks and aged wood dominate the decoration. Outside, the garden is full of scents: roses, herbs, lavender...

From our first enquiries, we found Sonia and Massimo to be amazing hosts. We were most appreciative of their detailed directions after our drive from the airport in Rome. Tucked up in the hillside beside the beautiful town of Cortona, the Locanda was everything we hoped for in terms of a great base to explore the area. Our upstairs room...

I first stayed here in 2013 for a mother daughter trip and never got around to writing any reviews. However, I have planned my second trip to Italy for this year and staying here is at the top of my list. I just booked my stay again and I am so excited to share this wonderful place with someone new....

We stayed here with our baby and our dog! The place is beautiful and the views breathtaking but the most important thing was the hospitality of Massimo and Sonia, they are amazing and will go beyond to provide you a great experience plus the breakfast they serve it is delicious and homemade by them! Definetely going back!
