Novole has so much to offer that a mere 5 star review can not do it justice - Novole is simply off the charts. Situated on the side of a mountain surrounded by woods and olive trees, the property is a Tuscany lovers dream. All the apartments have their own qualities that make them special. I have stayed in both...

I stayed at Novole for almost 3 weeks and found it absolutely magical. set on top of hidden hill, it is surrounded by nothing but the sweet picture-perfect Tuscan hills scenery. the rooms are rustic and full of history as they are part of an old convent. the vegetable garden is an inspiring spot, beautiful and all organic over looking...

Do yourself a favor and stay here... for as long as possible. Move in if you can. I cannot begin to describe how wonderful my stay at Novole was. I also cannot imagine a more breathtaking place to spend a holiday. The rolling hills of Tuscany filled by lush forrest and dotted with olive trees surround a gorgeous stone Farmhouse....

This is the most stunning place we have ever seen during our trips. It has it all: a great location among the green slopes, atmospheric stony walls of XIII century monastery turned into secular space, a very, very good interior fitments and an easy-going proprietario. Saying it briefly: authenticity. The space where one can feel honesty and zero show-off. A...

We - a family with a 1 year old boy - and several friends truly enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse this July. Our boy loved the cats, the dogs and all the trees with figs and grapes and immediately learned to walk. We loved the peaceful location: only trees as far as your eye can see, the fantastic hospitality...

My wife and I stayed for almost ten days at Novole. If you're looking for a true Tuscan get-away, then this is it. The countryside is beautiful and being so close to Cortona makes this a good deal. Lucio even taught us how to forage and cook wild funghi (mushrooms) found on his property. It was olive picking season (who...

It's not easy to write something that was not written in previous reviews. This place has a really special charm, unique atmosphere, 'genius loci', simply something what you can't resist. If you still haven't found the right place for authentic holiday stay, this former monastery - which is lost in the middle of deep forests and where time goes incredibly...

I know this place from a few years back and it was still the same: beautiful! For me it's like a little paradise. The houses are really pretty and the area is so nice! You can also make walks. I would recommend Novole to anyone how loves relaxing and being in a absolute peaceful place!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Novole is in the middle of the Tuscan countryside and dates back to 1500 and is near the old Etruscan town of Cortona. It is a former Convent that we have restored with three nice apartments (Convent-Chapel-Cottage), respecting the original style and atmosphere of the buildings. Novole is on the border between Toscana and Umbria, located about 1 and 1/2 hour from Florence, 1 hour from Siena, Perugia and Assisi. ... more   less
