My sister and I stayed at Casa Chilenne for eight days and had the best stay ever at Jeanette’s BnB in Cortona, Italy. She is an outstanding hostess/owner and goes above and beyond to make your stay special. We both had our own rooms and bathrooms, which were were spacious, clean and well appointed. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned daily. The building is four stories so there are a lot of stairs and luckily there is also a chair lift to all floors. No cars are allowed on the streets, which are cobblestone, so bring good walking shoes. We did not rent a car and were able to use the bus and train system which were very easy to navigate. The location of the BNB is less than a two minute walk to the bus stop and is a great central location for all your needs. One of the highlights of our stay was Jeanette’s delicious pastries that were made by her daily along with cappuccinos or espressos to start the day. She also made us delicious omelettes with bacon and veggies, which were also scrumptious. Jeanette also arranged activities for us that were very enjoyable. We went to a local ceramics class to make souvenirs, a cooking class to make pasta at a vineyard where we could taste our creations along with wine tasting, a trip to Orvieto to discover the underground tunnels and caves of that beautiful town, The Convent de Le Celle, and tours of Cortona to see the amazing views, churches and museums. Although Cortona is a small town, there’s a lot to see and do, plus it’s a short distance by train to see other towns in the Tuscan area. If you’re looking for a memorable Italy experience, this is the place to go. Thank you Jeanette for making our stay so special and memorable!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Casa Chilenne or about Jeanette. My room was clean, cozy, and warm and I was so comfortable there. Breakfast every morning was amazing. I had wonderful chocolate pear waffles on the first morning and I could have eaten them every day, but there were so many other delicious things, including the croissants. Jeanette went above and beyond to be a helpful hostess. Not knowing better, I accidentally bought postcard stamps for a private postal service rather than the regular Italian post. I only learned my mistake when I'd asked Jeanette to mail the postcards for me (thinking they could just be added to her regular mail). She tracked down the proper place to mail them and sent them for me. She also knows everyone in town and can direct you to anything you want or need. I give this B&B my highest possible rating. I plan to return again in the future.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The location is the best, You don't have to drive to enjoy the Cortona, they are right on the main street, nice shops are all around. We were so worry the products are from PRC, no. all made in Italy. Jeanette, you are the exceptional host, you made the best breakfast in world. This is not exaggerated, every morning, We had the fruit salad, coffee or latte, then small pastry follow up while we waiting for eggs and bacon, everything were home made. The room was clean and well maintain. Jeanette also help us everyday, every minutes of where to eat and make late appointments for us for dining. She also help my friends to mail the post cards, reserved rental car, getting information of museum hours, train tickets and on and on. We definitely will come back to visit Cortona. Good job Jeanette. We miss you!!!! Appreciate everything you have done for us.

BnB is centrally located, on the flat street surrounded by shops, restaurants, with the bus stop nearby for a quick ride down to the train station. Rooms are big, cleaned, n comfortable. Jeanette has to be the hostess with the mostest. Breakfast is enormous with freshly baked goods. She is also an expert on travel guidance, readily assist with transportation needs, tour/sight seeing resources. We spent 11 fun filled memorable days in Toscana, We were well cared for by Jeanette at the Casa Chilenne.

Instead of staying at a rural Tuscan property this time we decided to stay in a small town and picked Cortona. Following te Trip Advisor reviews we picked Casa Chilenne and were unbelievably impressed. The room was clean and very well-equipped with a well-sized bathroom. The breakfast was the best I can remember having anywhere. Ever. Fresh pastries, fresh fruit, cereal and if you want..something cooked. The service was also unbelievable. Nothing (and I mean nothing) was too much trouble. We were on the top floor and I was a little concerned about getting our heavy bags up the stairs.. .but Jeanette made things easy for us with the little chair-lifts. An added benefit was that the B&B was actually very close (about 80 metres) from the nearest street you can drive on (access to the town centre is restricted). Parking isn't too hard in Cortona but it's an Italian hill town so you have to be a little patient to find a spot. There is no reserved parking for the B&B but we managed to find a safe spot no more than 150 metres away most times. Carlotta and Daisy (the two poodles) are cute. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Cortona itself is great, too.

We very much enjoyed our four days at the Casa Chilenne. The B&B is wonderfully located on the main Cortona street. Our room was excellent in all respects: spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, well-appointed bathroom, high quality supplies, quiet, many television channels, and plenty of storage space. The breakfast was possibility the best we have ever experienced: any type of coffee desired, incredible quality and variety of food items, wonderful juices, homemade pastries, hot meals according to individual wish...and more. The owners, Luciano and Jeanette, are the best hosts one could wish for. They set the standard for excellence.

After weeks of searching, we found Casa Chilenne only by happenstance ... and we couldn't believe our luck. Everything about this B&B was perfect. Located on the main street in the lovely and quaint town of Cortona, Casa Chilenne was easy to find and close to everything. The rooms were glorious - a wonderful blend of old charm and modern convenience - and the top terrace was out of this world. We spent many hours relaxing as the Tuscan sun went down. At Casa Chilenne, we had everything we needed and more. Jeanette is truly the hostess with the mostest. She is an amazing cook, informative tour guide and so incredibly helpful. She gave us so many suggestions of what to do to get the most out of our visit to Tuscany - and never hesitated to help us make us with our itinerary. The fact that she speaks both English and Italian was an incredible asset - she acted as our intermediary on more than one occasion. And yes, Daisy and Carlotta are too cute. We loved this B&B and we loved Cortona. Hopefully, we will be able to return again some day - and have the pleasure of staying at Casa Chilenne again.

Our hosts knew Cortona intimately and helped us discover many of its delicious nooks and crannies. The location on Via Nazionale is ideal, as it is easy to park on the edge of the old core and walk, in a few steps, to its welcoming front door. Delightful shops line the street as it winds its way to the village center. One of the long-time owners of Casa Chilenne is American, which makes it easy to get insightful advice for the non-Italian speakers. She is also a chef and goes to great lengths to ensure guests are delighted with their meals. Cortona is a don't-miss city, filled with beauty, wonderful people, eccentric stairways to the unknown that beckon you to explore. Casa Chilenne is the perfect home away from home. I suggest the room at the top of the stairs on the top floor.

Every time we travel to Cortona, we stay with Jeanette at Casa Chilenne ! When we arrive, Jeanette greets us with a slice of her homemade apple cake and a tea or coffee. We feel so well loved ! Her breakfasts are fabulous and her hospitality is over the top.

Hello! Sorry for the late response, I didn't see your question until now. There is free and pay parking available outside the walls. By Casa Chilenne Piazza Garibaldi has places which are available for loading and unloading luggage which is 100ft from the front door. Then after there is a large parking lot below which is free and serviced by 2 escalators, or there are other lots a little farther away.
