Having read some references, the first thing I want to say is: when you book a two-star hotel, do not expect luxury. Villa Chiara is an honest two-star, a very sweet little hotel, clean and charming; there is an air-conditioner, a little fridge and a safe in your room, the rooms are cleaned daily. The breakfast might seem small at...

I would strongly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone planning to visit Taormina. It offers a brilliant location with excellent hospitality. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and were able to check in early to our room - always a bonus. Hotel Chiara is situated on a small street just behind the main street of Corso Umberto -...

Good value for money and very convenient for centre of Taormina. Good breakfast, very clean rooms. However, it is located on a noisy street with motorbikes constantly going up and down. Hotel rather dark and in need of painting and modernisation. Roof terrace needs some serious work! Fridge didn't work also.

My wife and I stayed there when on a short trip from Malta. The hotel was good and very clean. It was an excellent location to the town and was only a short step away from all the excitement. We stayed for two days and fully enjoyed ourselves.

One of the outstanding things about Villa Chiara is the friendly and helpful owners. Our rooms were large, comfortable and clean with air conditioning. This is a two star hotel so no luxurious fittings and a small but adequate bathroom. The breakfast was good and generous. There is a roof deck which was not used during our stay. The location...

We had a nice stay in Taormina at this hotel. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helpful and arranged the perfect trip for us to the Etna. Only minus was that we booked the hotel also for their free shuttle bus to a private beach, but we came there in October and the season was apparently over....

Located in central Taormina, just down some steps you are in the main street. Despite this, the hotel is really quiet and offers a great nights sleep. Air conditioning and balcony meant that temperatures were not a concern. Room was lovely and clean, especially the bathroom. Breakfast great - freshly baked croissants straight from the oven. The owner is extremely...

This lovely little hotel is tucked away on the next street over from Corso Umberto (the main street full of shops and restaurants). The owners spoke little english but they were very warm, welcoming and friendly. They were lovely people. The hotel was well maintained and our room was pleasant. The distance's to the cable car and the ancient theatre...

We have just returned from a four-night stay at Hotel Villa Chiara. The hotel itself is very centrally located and only one flight of steps up from Corso Umberto, which is the main street in Taormina, which makes the location of the hotel excellent. The hotel is small and family-run and the staff are very welcoming. The hotel is classified...

This is a great place to stay, it's centrally located, clean and comfortable. It's reasonably priced and the people who run it are very helpful. They gave us tips on local places to eat and provided us with some ideas of where to visit on the next leg of our journey.
