We booked this hotel as a package two months ago through Citalia....and then read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor, and thought "what have we done?" - well, I can tell you we needn't have worried. We stayed in the main hotel, which has a lift to all rooms.....those who choose the annex might have a bit of a climb,... More

Failure to adequately plan usually leads you to hotels like this. Good location right at the base of the gondola (6 euro, round trip) up to Taurmina, great ocean views if you get a room on that side, but everything else was just a bit below average.

Having booked at Villa Bianca and then seeing some of the reviews on TripAdvisor I admit I was a little concerned. However...... On arriving at the hotel we were a little early to check in but after a drink we were taken to our room by car. Due to badly parked cars we were unable to get close and so... More

Firstly I must say that our sea view was out of this world but unfortunately the only thing great about this hotel. We stayed in a separate building at the back of this hotel. As previously mentioned you are driven up a hill and left there with your bags. It's a good job I lift heavy items regularly as you... More

When we arrived we were taken up to a separate building behind the main hotel with our luggage in a small clapped out van/car, dropped outside the front door and told our room was on the third floor and no lift (The view was just about worth it). The rooms were clean and comfortable, our shower head broken but after... More

the reality is different than the description on the site! Parking is not free, you have to park with surcharge 20EURO / day. Free wi-fi only in reception, but you're staying in a totally different building. you have to climb many stairs from the beach to the room!

Terrible. The staff were rude and were not accommodating at all. They double booked us & moved us to a sister hotel which was not a nice place to stay. They took no responsibility for double booking our room and their excuse was 'it's a busy time of the year'. We had also booked sea view rooms and the rooms... More

We stayed for 10 days and we fully enjoyed food for dinner. First dish was choice of 3, usually salad, risotto and pasta. My favourite was Parmigiana con melanzane (eggplant) with pistachio and fish twist. The best I ever had in my life, pistachio gave it special taste with crunchy crust on the top. Second dish was also choice of... More

The very friendly and helpful personal does not compensate the fact that this hotel is very old fashioned, with limited facilities, the rooms of another time and the breakfast very basic. But maybe this is what to expect in beautiful Taormina which will eternally attract tourists whatever the service provided...

My main complaint is with Thomsons with whom I booked the holiday. The website is not at all clear. If steps are a problem for you then check before you go. The Thomson site says main building which one assumes is where reception and the restaurant is, we were therefore surprised to be bundled into a minibus and taken up... More
