We stayed here for four nights in September 2020 and had a really wonderful stay. We arrived late in the evening and Guseppe on reception could not have been more accomadating and welcoming. There was three of us in my party and he made sure we had the best rooms he could give us with the best views and next door to each other. He and his colleague Annalise went out of their way daily to make sure we had a great stay. They are a credit to this hotel. The hotel itself is charming in an olde world type of way which is exactly what we were looking for, it is wtihin walking distance to the town centre which is another great plus and very close to the bus stop if taking a bus to the Catania Airport, literally a few minutes walk. Another plus is the pool area which was clean and well looked after. I look forward to returning here.…
A friend and I stayed at Taormina Park Hotel at the end of August for a much needed break. What the hotel lacks in a needed decor re-fresh, it absolutely makes up for in space, perfect location, cleanliness and value for money. They even upgraded my friend and i to a sea-view room on arrival, which was such a treat seeing Mount Etna every day from the balcony. I slept like a baby for the first time after many weeks of stress back in London. It's very strange to see people write terrible reviews about the outdated decor as if they were expecting Four Seasons interiors for a mid-tier budget. I could not recommend a hotel better for location, a mere couple of minutes walk to restaurants, bars etc which is perfect, and then a short walk to the cable cars that head down to the beach. Obviously not ideal to wear shower caps in the pool (which they can provide) but we're living in unprecedented times, so it's really a minimal inconvenience considering the world is trying to overcome a pandemic. We absolutely said we would love to come back to Taormina and stay at the hotel again. It wasn't amazingly decorated and does need a re-fresh soon, but totally worth every penny and we would absolutely recommend.…
I would like to share my dreadful experience, I had along with my friend. As everyone else, we wanted to escape from all the Covid drama, and decided to go to Italy as we do not need to quarantine coming back to UK for 14 days. Me and my friend were super excited, as we booked this lovely (we thought so) 4 star hotel. On arrival we checked in and decided to rest, my friend started to each and some weird rashes appeared on her, next day came and my friend’s skin got worse; guess what I had rashes and felt something is crawling around my back and legs. No wonder …. it appeared to bed bugs, awful, imagine, 4 star hotel …. I called immediately to report, all I got was (they would be able to give me an extra night to stay at no cost), how would that be possible if I am flying same day when is my departure … eventually we managed to get the room move, we washed ourselves all the cloths , one by one, I could not sleep on bed through our stay, I and my friend were discussed … Most upset I am that we did not get any apology, and if I may say the answer I got from Front Office staff was ‘’They do not come from us, but they come from trains’’ are you serious. I and my friend have paid over £200 to deep clean our cloths and suitcases each, I would hate to take it home. Please google bed bugs and how bad they can be to you and how difficult is to get rid of them if you are having them at home. My friend is assigned to see a skin specialist, as bed bug bites have given her a terrible reaction. Booking.com you are selling this property to people around the world, really, please send your team to audit the property before you do, I would hate someone to be in same position as I and my friend. NEVER EVER again I will go back, no apology, no offering to clean our cloths. I am truly upset and disturbed . . .…
The hotel is in a state of dilapidation. It clearly has not been refurbished since the 1980s. The staff are rude and the facilities rubbish - it has a pool but if you dare enter the pool without a swim cap, you will be shouted. Stay away and book somewhere else.
Lovely and charming classic old italian hotel in the center of Taormina located in the beautiful hills. You can tell the hotel would have been luxurious in its day and has stayed true to its character. I don't understand some of the bad reviews the choice was perfect for us and better then expected.. We phoned in earlier and the woman to ask for a room upgrade to ensure we had a nice view
