My wife and I have visited somewhere around 50 countries in our life, and Villa Schuler is truly one of the standout hotels for us. The hotel itself is beautiful, one block from the main street, and the views are literally unforgettable. Never before have we prioritized time

The hotel is only a short walk (up Steps!) to the Corso Umberto in the centre of Taormina and close to a wide selection of excellent restaurants, which is important because it only does bed and breakfast. Breakfast is a treat in itself being a la carte service on a terrace

It is reassuring to read that your expectations were all met, so Tripadvisor was useful. Our positive Tripadvisor reviews are ALL genuine, no fake ones. And on our official website we try to be as accurate as possible in describing style, atmosphere and services, rooms types, their measures and amenities. No fake or photoshopped photos. So most reviews are positive: 96% of Tripadvisor reviewers rate us „excellent“ (78%) or „very good“ (18%). The remaining less positive ones (4%) are of two types: some really based on wrong expectations, some few others are from guests that have actually NOT stayed here. This happens too. This hotel is family owned, and it really shows. The staff were fantastic - really kind, helpful and accommodating. The room (I think superior) was lovely with a stunning view of the sea and a little balcony. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom spacious. The hotel

Dear guest from Michigan, We perfectly remember your stay here organized by the mentioned boutique tour company offering real small group tours. Tours in a small group context of max.12/14 participants giving a more personal touch and flexibility where needed, offering unique experiences, taking guests to places we know they carefully selected in person, staying in charming local accommodation and enjoying great culinary experiences. We at the Villa Schuler do believe that personal contact and first impressions are very important. This is why for all small groups we always organize a welcome cocktail in which we personally greet our guests and introduce them to the 114 year history of our hotel, the oldest owner run hotel of Sicily. An appreciated pesonal touch while our valets bring the luggage to the respective allocated rooms. We personally know Sicily well and each winter we also take owr own, longer private tour of our island to discover places we have never visited before. We like to be ambassadors of beautiful Sicilia and our welcome cocktails to small groups give us a chance to personally build an important bridge, to provide information not only about our hotel, but also about our lovely town and about Sicily, our beautiful island sometimes, unfortunately, still somehow associated to old stereotypes. Aldous Huxley was probably a bit categoric when he said “to travel is to discover that everyone is wrong about other countries”, but he went in the right direction. Looking forward to welcoming you again at our Villa Schuler, “Arrivederci a Taormina !” Christine and Gerhard Schuler manager Hotel Villa Schuler, Taormina link to Hotel website at the top centre of this TripAdvisor page
