We stayed in a suit with balcony and it was beautifully decorated with a beautiful view. The hotel is just 2 minutes walk to the old town center , i think it is one of the best hotels in Taormina. The breakfast is served at the rooftop and has a large variety.

This hotel is recommended as a Fine Hotel and Resort with American Express. The hotel does not deliver that kind of experience. When we arrived at midnight in the pouring rain there was only one person on the staff available to help 4 of us get our luggage up to our rooms on the second and third floor with no elevator. We are in our 70's. Our bathroom shower flooded the room every night and no one was interested in fixing it. We were there 5 nights and spoke with three people about the shower problem. It was very slippery and dangerous situation for my husband and I. They are more interested in their Michelin Restaurant on the property than their guests staying there. After breakfast there is no food service unless you want to get lite bites at the pool. It is difficult to get a cocktail. Like I said they are all about the Michelin Restaurant and not their hotel guests. This was very disappointing service that you would not expect at this highly rated hotel. Stay somewhere else if you want good service and attention. When we checked out they didn't even know what room we were in. The only good thing I can say is breakfast was good and the view was nice. Don't stay here it is not worth the price. There are too many other wonderful choices and you will not get your moneys worth at this hotel.

Spent three nights here, it is in a perfect location so close to the bustle of Taormina yet quiet. The breakfast terrace is idyllic with a wonderful selection of everything. The staff were very helpful. We had a rental car with us (you really do not need a car here) and prearranged parking at the hotel which we knew would cost 50 euro a night so were happy to pay it. The terrace to the back has a wonderful view and a CNN lovely place to sit and have a drink.

I would like to give 6* if possible! This was a special holiday for my husband's birthday. We stayed here on the recommendation of our travel agent who have customers who rave about it. I can see why! Even though we had an entry level room (others were taken) it was amazing! ALL staff were fantastic but special mention to Manuella and Marco from the breakfast team. Beautiful, small hotel (23 rooms) which was a private villa, originally. Very well appointed and nicely decorated. The breakfast room is on the roof with amazing views. Only thing that spoiled the tranquility was a group of loud American cyclists (I think) Loud in the breakfast room; loud by the pool. :( The Michelin Starred restaurant, as you would expect, is very expensive as well as drinks from the bar. 20 euros for a glass of wine! Perfect situation for exploring Taomina. Lots of great restaurants and a walk down the, pedestrianised, main street was great with all the designer shops. A trip to the Opera was 22 euros well spent, too! Easy access to the bus station, cable car for a trip to Isola Bella is worth a visit. So much to see in the area, too. Local tourist office (near the Messina Gate) can book these for you. We went on the Godfather tour, of course, a day trip to Syracuse, Ortegia and Neapolis, and Etna is a must! There is a hop on/hop off bus which gives you an orientation tour of the area. We hope to return and maybe try one of the bigger, sea front rooms.

The location of the Ashbee Hotel is within close walking distance to the Corso in Taormina for restaurants and shops, the Teatro Antico and the tram to the beach. The property is a converted villa that has stunning views of the coastline and offers a relatively small number of rooms that are well appointed and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations in Taormina. We were particularly impressed with Carmen, Danilo and Isabella at the front desk and Francesco, the onsite Manager. The outdoor gym was less than satisfactory and in need of upgraded equipment. The outdoor poolside beverage/snack service could be improved as well. All in all, our lodging experience was most satisfactory and we would recommend the Ashbee Hotel to our friends & family.

I was surprised at how our room looked. The rooms and furniture could use some freshening up. One of the area rugs looked quite particularly worn. On the plus side, the staff was friendly. The place looked clean. The pool was painfully cold. Every person who stepped into it winced. Most exited it quickly. For my preferences, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great staff, great location, great food, great rooms. While the hotel tailors to a more adult clientele, staff was extremely children friendly and our three young kids had an amazing time. We had an amazing time and would stay here again.

I would give this Hotel 6 stars if I could. My husband & I were attending Andrea Bocelli's concert at the Teatro Antico Taormina and we chose The Ashbee because of its proximity to the Teatro and of course based on the great reviews it received on TripAdvisor. I am now going to add one more to it! On the day of the concert, it was a very comfortable 5 minute walk to the theatre. The location of the Hotel is superb, just outside the main entrance to Corso Umberto, the main shopping area, yet it was tucked in a quiet corner, away from the hustle & bustle of the tourists that throng the area. Ashbee has only 24 rooms in what was once a private villa; the rooms are so well appointed, the facilities top class (ours even had a steam room) and most importantly, the bed was super comfortable. The ambience, the panoramic 360degree view of the coast & the mountains just made us go "wow" the moment we stepped in. It truly deserves to be listed under the Leading Hotels of the World. Special mention to the staff that checked us in, especially Danilo & Carmen at front desk....they were so efficient, friendly and attended to all our needs. Because of them, we were sad to leave as they went out of their way to make us feel like family. We will definitely tell all our friends back home about Ashbee and we will definitely be back.

Gorgeous hotel in a great walkable location. Pool and lounge area are amazing. Rooms are spacious and housekeeping was impeccable. Air conditioning was excellent. The rooftop breakfast was delicious. The level of service of the staff is beyond. Helpful with every aspect of our stay. Help with complicated travel arrangements. Arranged tours and dinner reservations at some of the best places we ate in Italy. Worth every penny
