We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights on bed and breakfast basis. There is a city tax not included in the price which is €3.50 per person per night. We stayed in a double room without a balcony. The room was amazing and a lovely size. Very clean and comfortable. The only downside of the room is that we... More

Despite all the negative comments about this hotel we have thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Ariston! Ok the walls are a bit thin and some of the rooms may be not up to some peoples expectations but it's a charming place with lovely friendly staff! Be prepared to walk uphill! Be bitten by mossies! But it's all part of... More

Would not stay here again more like a two star hotel the only positive is its situation - near to bus station The food was disgusting / the pool area was kept clean but all sun beds were so close to each other and we got told off for moving them for a bit of privacy !! We paid for... More

We stayed here 3 nights in August - hotel is on many different levels with lifts & steps to negotiate - not sure if this would suit less mobile people or wheelchair users. 10/15 minute walk up to town - on last day we found the different route up into town (not the main road) this was less busy with... Fantastic hotel in beautiful Taomina, Many many steps and inclines so you need to be mobile although the hotel has lifts and will arrange a courtesy trip down to the reasonably level street area.. The Hotel was spotlessly clean as was the linen and all the areas of restaurants and pool ect. We only had B & B and the... More

My husband and I recently stayed here for two nights as we finished a weeklong visit to Sicily. First off, I admit to some prejudices in my usual choice of hotels (We were booked here by a travel agent we don't know for a hastily arranged European trip.) We tend to enjoy boutique properties (inexpensive or up from there) with... More

We booked our original hotel in Taormina through a European Travel Agency. It was cancelled and they promised us an upgraded suite at the Hotel Ariston. When we arrived (a bit stressed due to our drive into town), the staff stated they could not give us a premium room for the price paid. Despite our continued efforts to negotiate, they... More

We have recently returned from a two week stay at the Ariston Taormina during which we celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary , Our room was in the Palazzo Santa Caterina which is seperate from the main hotel but only a few steps away . We actually liked being in the Palazzo as it felt a little more like what we... More

This hotel is about an hour from Catania Airport in the lovely and historic town of Taormina which is very hilly (as others have mentioned) There are steps up to the hotel from the very convenient bus station (useful for those day trips and taxis) The hotel provides a shuttle to transport your suitcases between bus station and hotel. The... More

A great place to stay in order to enjoy easy access to the delights of Taormina (crime free at the insistence of the local Dons) or just laze around the pool or terrace set in beautifully kept sub-tropical gardens. Superb breakfast buffet, comfortable rooms with excellent sea views. Bring binoculars. The hairpin bends down to the sea are a nightmare... More
