Grand Hotel Villa Politi is an unique hotel in the world. It is unique because it stands on the suggestive “Latomie” and on the ancient cliff.Art, culture, politics and nobility. A lot of famous people who have stayed at the Grand Hotel Villa Politi: Princes and Kings from all over Europe. Our Piemonte’s Princes, D’Annunzio, Sir Winston Churchill, Pope John Paul II, the President of the Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. We put the customer and its total satisfaction at the center.

This hotel is both good and bad to visit. The good parts are the hotel it self with a nice pool and the hotel it self. The staff is freindly and very helpfull Its a bit far from the main attraction, the islan of ortoga. But as parking are free, you can either walk or take a taxi. But the worse is the breakfeast. Its low budget, as if someone tried to save money and went to Lidl to buy all the cheapest prducts. Its disappointing as in reality a little more invested in real juice, better coffee, cereal, yoghurt with fruit and other thongs you would expect from such a fine hotel. Would lift the experience a great deal

I wonder with respect for the illustrious critics that we have the pleasure of hosting if you realize at all what lies behind the good service and good work that we at GH Villa Politi continue to offer you with the core? I wonder if the pandemic has made human beings who are ready to attack like angry lions even more insensitive ... I ask myself sure I don't have certain answers but equally sure to always do the best for our Guests. the GH Villa Politi while working for the present is already thinking about the future becoming the first 5-star luxury in the city. I am not deliberately responding to what I consider to be mere insults. Thanks for choosing us

We stayed two nights. The room was very pleasant, well appointed and comfortable. Sadly I had an accident whilst in Siracusa, A&E stitches, broken hand etc. Reception was very very kind, and arranged for breakfast in room both days, and a very generous breakfast too, plus taxis to and from hospital. We asked for some soup for lunch on the day after the accident as I could not get downstairs. It came, but with a 10€ room service charge........

Our experience of the hotel politi was not good, we booked four rooms. The hotel is period and nice to look at, but there it ends all show but little substance. As a 4 star hotel it is not, the breakfast is ordinary, and when we asked for a cup of tea in the afternoon it was not possible, for a 4 star hotel that is ridiculous. Some of the reception staff were not very helpful, but a young lady (Antonella) was very nice . There was a mini bar so called, in the room, but no alcoholic drink at all only small bottles of water and no price list, so we assumed this was complimentary however the day we left my wife and I were given a bill for £65 for water over 2 weeks, totally out of order. This works out at 2.5 euros per bottle ! Also if a taxi is required a price is quoted by the hotel , but when you pay the driver it is more. We did meet some lovely people in Siracusa outside of this hotel, so not all bad, but we shall not be returning to Hotel Politi

I confess, we are really tired of human wickedness and I do not want to answer or justify your comment. Those who read your comment will make their right opinion and then if they want to take the risk of choosing us ... we are here to welcome them with our pampering!

Politi is an excellent hotel which oozes charm. The entrance and central area are magnificent. The rooms are basic but wonderful, both of us slept really well. The views are superb and the swimming pool area is very good. It is 35 minutes walk from Ortigia but there are buses and if you can time it well the open top bus tour stops near the hotel and is only €5 per day. We walked everywhere so wasn’t an issue for us. We digest there so don’t know what the food was like. Breakfast was basic but tasty and the coffee was great. Very clean and attentive staff made our stay just wonderful.

We stayed in Grand Hotel Villa Politi 1862 from 10th to 17th of August. As soon as you enter you have the feeling you are in a different kind of hotel: nicely aged and with a lovely Liberty style. I travelled a lot around the world and stayed in many hotels but I have no memory of a dining room as unique as the one of this hotel: stunning in my opinion. If your expectation is to find a brand new hotel with everything shining and with no defects on the forniture this is not the case: I read some comments disappointed about this, but I think: come on, this structure is basically 150 years old, are you going to compare it with a Dubai hotel? I enjoyed to live in an hotel with such a history. Our room was big with a nice terrace with sea view. As pros I reckon the swimming pool (it saved our days when it was too hot with our children), the restaurant (convenient when we didn’t want to drive the car in the congested Siracusa and of very good quality) and the breakfast (although the free coffee...). However, the best asset of this hotel is the service: everybody is gentle, smiling, polite and willing to help (Special mention to the maitre blonde lady at the restaurant). For this reason I will definitely come back when I will be in Siracusa again. As point of improvements I would like to suggest the air conditioning (personally I found it noisy and not so cold).
