We stayed here for 2 nights on our month holiday in Italy. The hotel is beautiful. The staff is so friendly and help make your holiday special. Kevin the bartender was nice and made the best cocktails. The pool lifeguard was very friendly. The woman in greeted you for breakfast was very warm. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choices. You have a beautiful sea view. The rooms are a little dated but you aren't spending much time in your room. We loved our time here.

We recently stayed at the Minareto for just over a week for our wedding in Noto. The hotel is in a beautiful setting with fantastic coastal views looking towards Ortigia , most of the rooms have sea views, are well equipped and tastefully designed. The staff are fantastic, from the gardeners / pool bar staff / restaurant staff / reception personal were always helpful polite and supported us throughout our stay and offered an exceptional experience for all our wedding guests. We hired the Titantic terrace for a pre wedding. BBQ with its views of Ortigia it was a perfect setting for our guests to get together over lovely food and wine served by the exceptional staff. I cannot recommend this hotel enough ! (Hire car essential)

This was a very well appointed hotel with good facilities. Unfortunately the hot water supply to our bedroom was limited - but sorted out by a room change. The Restaurant was dire. No atmosphere and frankly rubbish food. Maitre d was unhelpful and frankly rude - situation saved by reception staff. If it was my business I would sack the chefs who cannot cook and the Maitre d. There was one youngish member of the waiting staff who was pleasant and helpful. My advice to him would be leave now before you are tainted by the others. I have given this three stars because of the positives - but avoid the Restaurant until it is sorted out

Lovely hotel along the cliff edge. The whole site was beautifully landscaped. Disappointed that no holiday rep on site to organise excursions. The room was very dark and I had to use a torch to access the safe! I would have liked a couple of armchairs in the room instead of lying on the bed to read or watch TV. A small shop selling personal requisites would be welcome and avoid trips into town. The army of cleaners did a marvellous job. The evening restaurant had no atmosphere and was very pretentious even though hardly any diners were in it. A self service arrangement would be more popular. The a la cart menu selection was very limited and anyone with a healthy appetite would be disappointed. The breakfasts were not outstanding. More hot food please such as beans and mushrooms and most 4* hotels have a chef making fried eggs and omelettes. The waitresses were brilliant. The pool side bar food was O.K. but 18 euros for a beef burger? Come off it! We had our main meal of the day in town where there were large menu choices, decent size portions and at sensible prices. The swimming pool was impressive so was the delightful sandy beach. Towels were available for use on the sun beds and even buckets and spades for youngsters to use. The free shuttle bus into town was a Godsend. We found a supermarket and bought and smuggled back food and drinks! A great hotel and if it rethinks it’s food/catering strategy, it will certainly justify its (Italian) 5* status.

This hotel is older and I do agree that the rooms are a bit outdated and small. But the resort has been very well maintained and cared for. The room was spotless clean and the house keeping was thorough. The bathroom amenities and mini bar were replaced/stocked daily even when we left the room fairly late. It would have been nice to have better towels (big, fluffy...). The sea view room was really an unobstructed sea view. The grounds were constantly tended to, and immaculate. There is only one restaurant which was good but expensive (expected in a resort). But a short 10 minute drive took you to Siracusa and Ortigia where there were many restaurants and cafes. It is worth the time to visit Ortigia to see a little bit of history as well.
