Convenient B&B around pretty floral yard, clean and well maintained. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. Good location-everything less than ten minutes walk. Tourist bus good for orientation, at end of passage. I’m going back.

We spent a week here, and it was excellent. Donatella and her husband were kind, and really helpful when we had problems with stolen cards, and then needed a doctor. Also, it is opposite a "Free Bus" stop, very useful for sightseeing. Would happily return.

Dear Pauline, thanks for your comment, I hope that although two small problems, immediately solved, your vacation was enjoyable in our beautiful Palermo and in our home. We are pleased that you liked the “Free Bus" that stops in front of our B & B, a nice way to know the city when you are tired of walking on foot.We... More

Fantastic quiet corner in heart of the city. Beautiful courtyard for breakfast (weather permitting! ) and good range of food for same. Slightly unpredictable electrics in my room (bedside light not working and a kettle which worked occasionally). Bed a bit hard for my taste. And somehow booking.com gave them to understand that 2 of me was staying because I... More

Well presented B&B in a great location in the Historic Quarter of Palermo. Staff were super friendly and really helpful and were great at providing advice on tourist activities and places to eat. Buffet breakfast was really nice with lots of choices and was even more enjoyable being able to eat in the courtyard. Lots of great small Street food... More

After spending one awful night in an apartment hotel down the road we were very happy to find this hidden gem. With very helpful and accommodating staff, this B&B was perfect for our city exploring visit. The rooms were basic but clean and modern and more than comfortable. the courtyard was small but beautiful and the breakfast more than satisfactory.... More

Donnatella saved my holiday! I booked elsewhere and it wasn't what we expected......fortunately after 1 night I found this historic Palacio. Donnatella and her small team made us feel as though we were staying in their family home. Such a peaceful location in the centre of a bustling historical centre. When we return to Palermo, we will come home to... More

Al Giardino dell'Alloro is a wonderful place to stay if you visit Palermo. I organise EU funded (Erasmus+) cultural heritage courses for European teachers in many places of Europe. Last week (15-21 February 2016) we had a group in this B&B. All course participants were very content about the place: the centre of old Palermo, fine and affordable rooms, good... More

To Donatella and her amazing staff, Gracie for making everything perfect for our week long stay. We highly recommend this B & B which is near all sites but far enough from the traffic to provide a quiet environ after day long touring. Especially appreciated the parking garage and facility security.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the historical centre of the city, inside the quarter of the Kalsa, just opposite Villa dell’Alloro, our bed&breakfast is different from the others. We have called it "b&b&arts": in the rooms and the communal spaces you will find paintings, photographs and sculptures of contemporary Sicilian artists. You will find not only well-furnished rooms, where every colour tones in with the idea the room expresses, but also wide communal spaces and a luminous courtyard where breakfast is served in summer and where you can spend your time chatting and relaxing. All rooms are equipped with bathroom with shower inside the room, hot-cold air-conditioning, electronic key that allows access to the whole structure, safe, LED TV, wi-fi free and many other amenities. The rooms are serviced by private elevator, and overlook a quiet courtyard, where you can spend your free time. ... more   less
