Although we had a little difficulty finding it, we were delighted with the place and the environmentally friendly garden through which one enters. Gabriella, a former journalist and current environmentalist is one of the most interesting people that we met on our tour. The renovated wing of the estate is comfortably furnished, clean and pleasant.

We've stayed with my wife in Il Glicine – Piano del Colli late October and I want to say it was really wonderful and unforgettable.
First of all I would like to thank the hostess, Gabriella, who was so kind, hospital, responsive & nice that she put all the efforts to make our rest unbelievable.
The room was very good and all the apartments are old-fashion designed that makes you feel just like into the ancient castle. Her breakfasts are pretty tasty & the toasts with home-made jams (made out of the fruits that you could find into the very nice garden, located outside and kept by Gabriella) were amazing.
You definitely have to rent a car otherwise it’s really complicated to reach this place but it’s good located nearby intestate so you may go any other cities you’re keen on.
Eventually, you may reject all the doubts – this place is really beautiful with great accommodation. It’s good if you visit Sicily with your family and want to live in the picturesque & quite place with great service.

Our experience at Il Glicine was ex excellent. The location is quiet and surrounded by plants it even has a neighbouring swimming pool to cool off from the summer heat. The place itself is beautifully decorated, housing many artifacts of intrigue and an infinite abundance of reading material. The host is very kind and welcoming as well as efficient and attentive. I would gladly recommend any friend to stay at this location, I look forward to my return.

I have stayed here three times now. Each time has been a delight - the owner is erudite, friendly and interesting, the garden is a delight, and the rooms are very comfortable.

It is placed on the outskirts of the great city, but access to the central city is easy, and the delights of Mondello are very easy to reach. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a portion of a large palazzo. You can get to Monreale, and points east without having to brave the main city traffic.

Meals are taken in the garden, and the room is comfortable and well-appointed.

From this location, the airport, and the hinterland of Palermo is easily reached by car.

What wonderful villa this is. Directions to Il Glicine - Piana die Colli was spot on. We were welcomed warmly by Daniella who was a fountain of knowledge and advice with regards to history, places to eat and generally parking advise wherever we were going. Mondello is a 10 minute trip by car. Palermo is an easy 25 minute trip and once again Daniela gave us great guidance where to eat and places to visit in general. The Palazzo Mirto was a definite highlight and gave us a real insight into the aristocracy of Palermo. Daniela's garden is amazing and simply beautiful. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely sitting outside on the terrace in the morning. I was happy to speak Italian, but Daniela's English is very good. We had the apartment, however as a second room was vacant, our kids decided to take the opportunity to sleep there. Apartment was big enough for all of us to relax at the end of the day. We got to know Daniella very well over our 4 day stay and our family felt that we were saying goodbye to a very dear friend. Grazie mille Daniella. Fina alla prossima volta!!
