We stayed here for four nights in July, just as we did the previous Summer. The location, ambience and friendliness of this small hotel is excellent in our opinion. The wonderful staff are extremely helpful and treat you as a guest. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Palermo.

Stayed at the Massimo plaza hotel for 3 nights.Massimo is situated on Via Maqueda. At night time the stretch of Via Maqueda out side the Massimo plaza gets very busy and becomes a melting pot for locals and tourists alike strolling up and down enjoying the sight ,smells and sound of Palermo.Even though the street out side the Massimo are bustling... Massimo is a lovely hotel for a very reasonable price. I stayed there two separate times during my trip to Sicily (since I flew into and out of Palermo), and both times stayed in spacious comfortable rooms and was treated to exceptional service. Jenny, Gianluca, and Antonella went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and help me figure... More

We just returned from the week long stay in Sicily. We spent 3 nights in Mondella, 2 nights in San Vito la Copa and 2 nights in Palermo. We chose Massimo Plaza for its location and online reviews. Upon checking in, we were greeted with extremely helpful and nice reception staff (both night and day shifts were very pleasant), who... More

Lovely small hotel in great location opposite the Massimo theatre, with very friendly staff who booked restaurants for us and gave us umbrellas when it rained. Clean, comfortable elegant room with sound proofing and air conditioning. Once you find the Orlando car park nearby, you can leave the car there & explore Palermo on foot.

After we survived our long 13 hour night Intercity train debacle from Rome to Palermo, we were ecstatic when we arrived in front of our hotel, Massimo Plaza. As we were about to comment on the several steps leading up to the front door, peoples started rushing towards us to grab our bags. We were enthusiastically welcomed by our hotel... More

We stayed one night after arriving at Palermo Airport quite late. The staff at Reception were very friendly and helpful when we enquired about parking our rental car. The parking lot they suggested was a little hard to find and it involved lots of hand gestures and a lot of Italians helping out! The room was nice but quite basic... More

Small but friendly hotel directly across the Opera House on a pedestrian only street after ten in the morning. Breakfast area too small if everyone decided to eat at the same time. You have to et in your room. Two small couches make up the almost non-existent lobby area that is also the breakfast area. My room was nice size... More

I booked 2 rooms for my Brazilian friends. First time in Palermo, they were extremely happy with their rooms. Each member of the staff was kind and ready to meet all needs. The hotel is in central position: fine restaurants, high-level shops, monuments, and public transportation are very close to the hotel, which is well arranged in every detail. Beautiful... More
