We originally booked our trip in January 2020, and due to Covid, and several cancellations, we finally got to Palermo 29th May 2022! The staff at this Hotel have been amazing and so helpful, going out of their way to assist with our several cancellations (which was out of our hands). We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we stepped inside. Our Room (103) was lovely and although close to reception it was incredibly quiet. Breakfast was served in our room, and it was tasty, plentiful and delicious. Our room was cleaned daily. It is situated opposite Teatro Massimo, which makes it ideal for exploring the City. We could not find fault at all with the Staff and the Hotel. A Big Thank you to you all.
We stayed two nights and attended the opera in theater Massimo just across the street. The hotel is very good and the staff is super friendly. Guarded Parking nearby for a fair price. Acces to the center of palermo by foot is perfect. Good food available in the neighborhood.
We stayed for one night to go to the theatre. The location is excellent, central, opposite the theatre. This is the only plus. The room is good, in that the bed is comfortable and the shower works, but that is about it. No telephone in the room to contact the reception. No working television Poor breakfast in the room as there is no breakfast served in a buffet area. Room is noisy. Is it a 4 star hotel???? No way!!
Booked to stay at the hotel before COVID WE decided we wouldn't request a refund but chose to support the hotel in a difficult time We were given a voucher which we were then told had to be used by this year Originally booked for 4 nights but we booked for 3 nights Hotel location was excellent The Hotel is running in sleep mode and COVID is now an excuse , breakfast is served in your room ! We left after 2 nights Wake up Massimo Plaza we are your guests ,you are not doing us a favour by letting us stay
I pre booked this hotel as it advertised a 24 hour reception which given the curfew in Italy and my flight arriving after curfew was necessary. The hotel was advised the exact time I was due to arrive yet had locked the doors at 10pm failed to answer the intercom or telephone therefore leaving me on the street with no accommodation- they have subsequently failed to respond to any emails - in short only book this hotel if you want bad service and to sleep on the streets illegally and without due regard to your safety
Great hotel in the perfect location right in the centre of Palermo - friendly and efficient staff who spoke perfect English and were always available to offer advice on restaurants and places to visit. The hotel organised the transfer from and back to the Airport which worked well 😃
The hotel is beautiful, the courtesy of the reception is unique and the quality of the service. Only the breakfast was terrible, nothing special, no traditional food, all standard, like in a hotel three stars. It's a pity.
Excellent customer service. Staff all spoke very good English and were courteous and engaging. The location is super right opposite the Massimo Theatre and on the main street Via Maqueda where there are lots of street food options and trattorias down the numerous side streets. The cathedral and normal palace are within walking distance. It is about a 20 minute walk to the railway station so we made use of the airport transfer service which was great. On arrival the staff carried our bags up the stairs into the hotel. All staff wear face masks and there is plenty of hand sanitiser available. Breakfast was served in the room to reduce risk of covid. Minor downside was that the safe was not working when we arrived. However, this was quickly fixed and meanwhile the hotel looked after our valuables. Our room was at the back of the hotel with no view but it was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Palermo is interesting. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a one or two night stay.…
We can’t say enough about the customer service of this hotel. We have had to change our plans due to the virus. This hotel has been the most flexible with us in changing our dates and helping us make sure or Sicily vacation can still happen. Our thoughts are with the Italians during this time and we can’t wait to be there in January!
The staff at the reception were very uncooperative and antipathetic. They gave us rooms at the second floor that were dirty and very badly maintained. A bed was broken. The shower was broken in another room. The glass was broken in two rooms. some of the rooms were stinking and not clean, When we asked to change they lied and said the hotel was full and than we found out that all the sicth floor was empty. when we asked for more pillows they said they don't have more pillows and later we found out they have a lot, and so forth.
