This was a fantastic hotel. Our bedroom was enormous, in two floors, with a dining room table. The location can look scary but don't let it frighten you: Palermo is a safe city and no harm will come to you. The hotel is perfectly located 20 min away from most attractions (some even closer). The breakfast was a treat and... More

An oasis; calm, classy and cool in 34 degree heat. Staff welcoming and efficient, only drawback was room on 2nd floor with lift that only goes to 1st floor! Breakfast good and plentiful, cool calm patio to eat it on. Great service when we got back after day of sightseeing, wine cold and good. Tucked away in central location, you... More

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. Even though we read concerns regarding the neighborhood, we find the Ballero district to be perfectly safe and intriguing. We felt at ease both during the day and the night. The hotel staff (and especially Francesco and Marco) should be commended for their willingness to solve the problems and accommodate the request from... More

Excellent hotel located right in the heart of the old town in Palermo. It's a stone's throw away from the vibrant Ballaro market which is a must to visit and experience. Reception staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was clean. There's a first class restaurant on site and with a very helpful sommelier. The location has seen better days,... More

The hotel is ideally located in the old part of town in the Ballero district (people who have noted the area and been a bit put off by it are the type of people who I imagine prefer a sanitised American city). The hotel has a lovely courtyard where breakfast was served and where you could get drinks in the... More

The hotel is very nice in furnishings. My friends and I stayed two nights. One when first arriving in Sicily and another the night before we left. It's very close to all attractions and steps from the market. We arrived early by taxi. Could never have found it on our own, but this is true of most places in Palermo... More

Quirky hotel with character. Tucked away ... but fine if you plan ahead and research the location. 24 hour reception. Really helpful - I had several "unusual" problems to resolve and the happily rose to the challenge on each count. Had a problem with the TV which was resolved immediately. My room was quiet which is really important for me.... More

it was a very nice hotel once you find it. it was also a very nice hotel inside the hotel. it is extremely difficult to find because the GPS does not account for the permanently closed roads. the outside of the hotel is a hot spot for homeless but not aggressive homeless. it was however clean. it is near a... This hotel is a small, comfortable oasis in a downbeat area that on the first night we stayed was pretty noisy, we raised this with the reception and they were pretty matter of fact about it. It's pretty central and a short walk puts you at the heart of Palermo, all the sights and the hustle and bustle of a... More

The hotel is really pleasant, with some of the friendliest staff we encountered in a month in Italy/Sicily. The rooms are pleasant and unique. If you have mobility issues, ask for a room accessible by elevator. Some rooms numbered in the 200s are up two flights of stairs after you get off the elevator on the first floor. The ceilings...
