it was a very nice hotel once you find it. it was also a very nice hotel inside the hotel. it is extremely difficult to find because the GPS does not account for the permanently closed roads. the outside of the hotel is a hot spot for homeless but not aggressive homeless. it was however clean. it is near a... This hotel is a small, comfortable oasis in a downbeat area that on the first night we stayed was pretty noisy, we raised this with the reception and they were pretty matter of fact about it. It's pretty central and a short walk puts you at the heart of Palermo, all the sights and the hustle and bustle of a... More

The hotel is really pleasant, with some of the friendliest staff we encountered in a month in Italy/Sicily. The rooms are pleasant and unique. If you have mobility issues, ask for a room accessible by elevator. Some rooms numbered in the 200s are up two flights of stairs after you get off the elevator on the first floor. The ceilings... Great location with very friendly staff. We liked the ambience of the hotel rather than is location. Handy place though for walking into the old town and visiting the sites. Also good for access to transport links

This hotel is a kind of island in the middle of a very poor neighborhood. The hotel however is charming, small and comfortable. It's located within walking distance from some of Palermo's best attractions including the market. The Internet was very weak in our room but if you go down to the lobby it works fine.

We actually visited in January 2015. Nice style, nice staff, nice breakfast. The restaurant was even better, contemporary dishes well prepared. Our first room in the loft was quite rigid, the one we changed it to on the first floor (without any problem) was nice, comfortable and had a balcony. The area can seem a bit scary, but we didn't... We enjoyed 4 nights on arrival to Sicily and stayed in room 103 which was a spacious junior suite overlooking the 'entertainment' of the car park below. The hotel staff were friendly and obliging and the breakfast was all you could ask for. Getting there by car is a bit tricky so best call the hotel if you are driving... More

Gorgeous hotel. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast spread was more than expected. Highly recommended. Although we only had one night, en route to other parts of Sicily- it's stayed in our minds. Will be visiting again this summer!

One of the guidebooks suggests that "driving in Palermo is a contact sport". While, luckily, we made no contact, the endless traffic jams in the main thoroughfares, the narrow side streets where the sat-nav struggled and pushy, impatient Sicilian drivers all made us wish we had relied on shank's pony and public transport. The Palazzo Brunaccini is a lovely old... More
