We stayed here for one night in March, it was the last day of our trip to Sicily. Sadly we didn't really enjoy Palermo, it's seemed very run down, not looked after, dirty and unsafe. Staff at the hotel were nice, and let us keep our luggage in our room until 5pm after we checked out that morning. Location is...

Great location set on a back street. Near sites and restaurants. Ballario market is a short walk away. Owner very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast very good with loads of choice and good coffee. Owner can give good recommendations on sites. We arrived very late but he managed to call up a near by restaurant to get us a late table...

We felt right at home from the beginning to the end. Breakfast was amazing as seen in the photo. The manager was accommodating and arranged a driver to take us where we needed to go and to the airport.

You find free parking spaces in only 5 minutes walk distance. Furthermore you can walk to the best restaurants and bars in the city. But not only the location is outstanding...

We stayed two nights in December, just before Christmas. We booked a quadruple room for our family, and got a wonderful decorated two level suite apartment at the top of the building with two recently renovated bathrooms and two terraces overlooking the city rooftops - simply wonderful! But above all - Alessandro, the owner, is an amazing welcoming and gracious...

We spent 4 days @ this outstanding B& B. Alessandro & his staff were there for all our needs. Our bed was great. Shower although small was adequate & water was nice & hot. Noise was not a problem. Air was there when we needed it. Their breakfast is super.

My husband and I just got back from Palermo. We stayed at Porta di Castro and I couldn't recommend it enough. Right in the centre of the old town, the location is perfect to explore the city. I have to confess that the first impression of the area wasn't great but there was no reason for that! Located in a...

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of September in the apartment at the very top of the building. I have to confess to being a little concerned when our taxi drew up outside Porta di Castro as there are no pictures of the outside .. and it is located in one of Palermo's narrow streets. However, as...

We stayed here for just one night but were very impressed with the quirky nature of the hotel and fabulous hospitality. The hotel is in a small narrow street but the taxi driver took us straight there. The welcome was great, we were given a 3 roomed apartment for two couples. It was up quite a few stairs but the...
