This is a beautifully renovated property near the heart of old Palermo. Service was wonderful, and we were upgraded to large, nicely appointed sleeping rooms. My only complaint would be the quality of the breakfast - buffet had scrambled eggs with cut-up hot dogs (yuk!!) and a lot of cakes and breads that were stale and tasteless. They did have... More

This hotel was once a convent, then a bank. You can't tell the history from the outside but once inside it becomes clear. The lobby is grand with many seating Areas. There is a bar in one corner and a lovely restaurant that doubles as a breakfast room. The hotel rooms are spacious and are well equipped. The location is secluded... More

Based on the exterior we were mightily surprised when we walked into the lobby. In the center of the lobby is a huge fountain. I believe the interior was originally the exterior and has been preserved with newer outer walls. Our room, (can't remember the number) was huge and modern. Marble floors, huge tub and bathroom. There is a nice... More

We chose Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa because of the location in the center of the “tourist” Palermo. You walk one block, and you are on the Via Vittorio Emanuele, the main street running past most of the big tourist attractions. The lobby is extraordinary beautiful, a big open atrium where you can rest with a cold beer when walking around... More

Situated a little way back for the madness of Palermo's main streets this Grand Dame has much to commend it. It's a short walking distract from the main restaurant area and pleasant walk to the cities main sites. The hotel itself offers spacious, well appointed rooms and it's worth upgrading to the terrace rooms for the classic view across the... More

Beautiful hotel with large, comfortable and quiet rooms and great WiFi. The staff was available 24 hours a day - a great bonus as we had to check out at 5:00 a.m. for our flight. They all spoke English and were very helpful. They can book you a cab the night before for an early departure. This was by far... More

Palermo is 'citta d'arte' and this hotel is no exception. Our room was comfortable and spacious; the lobby was spectacular. We stayed as part of an escorted tour, so cannot comment on the price. We enjoyed our stay; were grateful for the parking prowess of our tour driver. Porters for our bags were especially gracious and prompt.

I and my wife have just returned back from Sicily. Our stay in Piazza Borsa was an amazing experience. The staff was friendly, professional and always ready to assist. They helped us a lot in communicating with the airport as our luggage haven't arrived in Sicily with us and we had to wait for 24 hours till they arrive. The staff... More

This hotel is all it purports to be. Excellent, quiet, spacious and well appointed rooms. Air conditioning that works well, a good fitness center, strong wi-fi - I could go on and on. Location is great for seeing Palermo and visiting some great restaurants. We couldn't dine here because dinner seating begins at 2000, too late for us. The reason... More

The location could not be better - almost at the corner of Emanuelle and Roma. The hotel is relatively quiet considering this location. Breakfast buffet is sivilized. The waiters wear white tux outfits. The front desk is a bit stuffy, and my wife did not like her massage. But for those drawbacks, would have given *****.
