Stesicorea Palace is a small property placed in one of the most typical and busy squares of the baroque city center of Catania, five minute walking from the cathedral and the opera theater. My room was on the rear of the building: everything looked clean and well maintained, the bathroom was essential but clean and properly working; the air conditioner...

Conveniently situated in the middle of Catania, despite the impracticable parking situation... Not that there is no spot but hard to find a free one and be ready to pay your car park until 3:00am! The hotel is basic. Not very comfy bed (not a double but 2 stick together). Loud so you can hear the people chatting at the...

Nice staff & excellent service. Located in the centre of catania, close to the bus station, shops & open market. Very helpful receptionists especially the 2 middle age guys, and the lady serving coffee during breakfast was always with a smile on her face. I really recommend this hotel.

We visited Stesicorea Palace for 4 nights last July and our stay at the hotel was amazing. On the day we arrived, we were greeted by Orazio at the reception. We were a bit lost since we arrived on a Sunday and the city in the morning was a bit quiet but Orazio showed us our room and were can...

The hotel despite looking very big and elegant from the pictures was in actual fact very small and dated. If you have trouble with stairs this hotel is not for you. on arrival you are faced with over 30 stairs to climb no lift. Breakfast consist of croissant, some biscuits, coffee or tea . A small basket of fruit which...

This quirky hotel was just right for our short break to Catania. Very reasonably priced. It's in walking distance of the main square and central bus and train station. It's very clean, well equipped and comfortable ( though as 60 year old Brits we'd have loved tea making facilities in the room) . The views over the square are great...

LOCATED THRU A SMALL DOOR BUZZER next door to MCDONALD'S ON Stesicoro Square .Up 33 stairs and this is really a friendly B&B .Nice help youreself breakfast is a bit repetitive and the lighting could also be better.Perfect location spoilt by general noise outside from early on road cleaning to racing cars bikes and celebrations which we did not mind....

This hotel is a great location and is such good value! I just loved the staff here, they were so pleasant and went our of their way to help us (literally, one guy actually walked into the street with us to point out a good restaurant!). The room was a tad dark and bathroom slightly dated but nothing too bad....

Very friendly helpful staff. Older building right in the centre of Catania. Great choice of cafes, brasseries, trattoria within easy walking distance. Breakfast was typical continental and good coffee.

Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting. I don't often travel around the world but over the last couple of months i have been travelling with my mother and father. This hotel was dirty, and so unhygienic. Let's begin in the bathroom.... Mould in the shower, shower screen incredibly thick with soap scum that i can't even see through the door (Who would want...

“If you are sensitive to traffic noise and do not want to wear ear plugs, ask for a room that does not face Piazza Stesicoro, but you will have to dispense with a nice view out of the window. ;)”

“Do not always think international chains offer better hotels, and do not compare European hotels to those of new countries with lots of space to build spanking new hotels with no character! Do not be too concerned about rooms with views. Are you there to look out the window, or to explore the city?”
