The rooms were slightly small-ish but very modern and nice. Good location in the city center. Nice breakfast. We were just there for a short overnight so I didn't experience any of the services or amenities.

I came back with six colleagues a number of years since my last stay. I specifically wanted to stay here because of a very nice experience before. The hotel has slipped. The staff isn't as accommodating as in the past (they seemed bothered at times), the room was much smaller than I had before; I do not believe there's such... More

The hotel is smart and well located in the centre of the city, so great access to bars, restaurants and the sights. The only downside was the room we were in...the room itself with the on suite bathroom were very nice, well decorated, clean and good sized, BUT, there was no windows. The only thing there was, was a thin... More

We only stayed at Il Principe for 1 night so don't have a detailed review. The hotel's location is perfect. It is within walking distance of a lot of the city's sights as well as restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is pretty standard. Our room was spacious though oddly designed to feel more like a train compartment. The window... More

A good hotel in the historic centre. Our room was large and comfortable, but in need of maintenance: the double-glazed window was broken, the internal blind was falling apart, we couldn't get the fanlight blinds to work, the sink & bidet plugs didn't fit properly, and over 2 days we could not get the wi-fi to work. There was a... More

This hotel was the first on the rather wonderful Tour Carousel of Sicily. We arrived late from Amsterdam around 11.00pm and were welcomed pleasantly and asked if we would like dinner as we had missed the tour dinner. Decided on a glass of beer and a pot of tea instead. You guessed it; of course we were charged for it... More

Very close to Duomo, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Best breakfast I had in my 5 day stay in Sicily ( 2 nights in this hotel), highly recommend it. Wifi connection was not really good though in our room.

Great location within short walk of multiple cafe's, squares, tourist sights. Great place to base your Sicily travels from. Rooms appear recently renovated, some have baths. Although there are bars/entertainment areas all around, the thick walls and double glazing make it extremely quiet even with a rowdy bar just outside. Not sure what breakfast is like, but there are multiple... More

Central location near the Piazza University. Close to many shops, restaurants, attractions, including the massive fish market, also featuring meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables. Black out shutters. Small bath and shower. A real problem is that the water temperature in the shower fluctuates wildly and without warning. There is a significant risk of being scalded. No wash cloths. Electric goes... More

PROS: excellent location (2-minute walking to Fontana dell'Elefante), good WiFi speed (although some rooms don't have good WiFi reception), excellent breakfast, good service overall. CONS: might be a bit slow to respond to requests. I had to call them twice to finally fix a problem with the toilet's flash. Also the luggage holding area is completely open and in front... More
