Good location in a quiet residential area. Quirky hotel with very good sized room and interesting decor. Very comfortable. Staff were excellent. We always like a cup of tea in the morning and before bed, but there are no in-room facilities. They lent us an electric kettle. The reception area is only occupied part time, and this houses the coffee...

Stayed here for two weeks for work. The beautifully and exotically decorated room was tidy and well kept. Clean and practical, but most of all it had a very warm "home from home" atmosphere. This was also due to host Enrico, who is a lovely welcoming, friendly and helpful host. Not a spectacular view from the room, but this was...

Very friendly staff, Giulia came with us to find a car park and gave us a guide of Cagliari. She also reserved us a table for dinner. The room was gorgeous. Clean and comfortable. We wished we were staying for longer. Husband says best not to drive through the narrow streets of Cagliari if you can avoid it, we had...

Just had a great 5 night stay at The Place. The hotel is situated in a quiet side street but is very central and is only a couple of minutes walk to one of the main streets. On arrival we were met by Enrico who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful; he helped us with everything from restaurants to...

We stayed at The Place for 5 nights from August 25. Upon arriving by train, we walked 10 minutes to The Place. Tucked away in a quiet residential street, The Place is in the heart of town within walking distance to all the main attractions. The was clean, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. Alessandro welcomed us upon arrival and...

The Place hotel is a very elegant and high quality contemporary rebuild within the shell of a period house damaged by WW2 bombing. Everything was spotlessly clean and a varied breakfast was included. The owner, Enrico was very hospitable and made our three night stay in Cagliari very enjoyable.

My wife picked up reference to The Place in the Times and it seemed to be the sort of smaller, interesting, central location that we enjoy - and we were not disappointed. The rooms are all different and interesting and ours was very spacy with a large bedroom, bathroom and a separate sitting room. The new owner Enrico was a...

Perfectly located to the centre of town, the marina and public transport. Quiet street and charming rooms. Best of all was Enrico, the owner, who built on that personal touch and went out of his way to help us have a great trip.

We gave this place a lower rating because even though it was supposed to have breakfast, it didn't...and we had no view at all...and we got a parking ticket, although we parked in the public parking that we were told to. But other than that, it was a pleasant room with a great bathroom and a perfect location.
