This hotel turned out to be perfect for our ten day vacation. It has nice position, with Beach Bus stop a few meters from entrance and is equally distant to the old city and gorgeous Maria Pia beach, for both you need some 15-20 minutes of normal walk. Room was spacious and clean, and housekeeping was very good. Fresh towells everyday and clean linnen every few days. Bed was spacious and quite comfy. Pillows were good. AC was very good and pretty silent. Bathroom was quite big and clean, while shower cabin was a bit small, but ok. Reception staff were amazing, spoke great English and were always smiling and polite, and ready to help. Overal, the best receptionist group I ever encountered in a hotel. Special thanks to Alessandra, who was the best. Restaurant was amazing experience in its own right. Very clean, with fast service during dinner and quick replenish of items in a buffet all the time. You get your table on the first day and it's yours until you go, which is quite convenient. We went half board and I highly recommend it to everyone, since dinners were really great. You get buffet for appetisers, which is then followed by first and second course, which you select from the menu during the breakfast. A la carte courses were in quite big portions, very tasty and with amazing variety. No dish during our ten day stay came twice the same, that's how big variety was. Breakfasts were more monotonous, but still very rich in offered food, although some sausages would be appreciated. The bacon were sublime, though. Some sweets and cakes were always present, during breakfast even some more pastry, and for dinner some nice fruit as well. Restaurant manager was amazingly polite and helpful, and all waiters were professional and polite. Dinner does not include drinks, but offered selection is reasonably priced and the best thing is that you do not pay right there, but have a card on which they add your orders and you pay the total during the checkout. Great solution. Special mention to amazing Sardinian night during which you have a chance to eat many Sardinian specialities, among them some trully superb cheeses and some outstanding meat. All in all, a great stay in the superb hotel. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a two-room appartement for two weeks. The double bed in the bedroom was fine, the convertible sofa in the living room as well, but the extra bed for the younger teenager was a laugh! It was so worn his butt almost touched the floor. The kitchenette was poorly equipped. Three plates to go around for four people...You need to bring detergent, cloths etc for washing up. The bed sheets were changed and the floors were cleaned once during our stay. You have to pay extra for more frequent cleaning. The bins were emptied almost daily, however, and toilet paper were supplied with infrequent intervals (we ended up buying at the store..) The pool area is nice but small. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Dear Guest, it is appreciated you spent time writing a review regarding your stay at Rina Hotel, our property in Alghero. Guests’ opinions are very important to improve quality and efficiency of our services. We’re sorry you weren’t satisfied with your accommodation, however, it was perfectly coherent with the apartment formula you chose. The apartment formula does not provide cleaning nor sheets change. This information was clearly given to you while booking and while checking-in. If you have asked to change the formula or more kitchen facilities we would have been glad to help you. We’re glad, anyway, you appreciated the friendliness and attentiveness of our staff, one of our best assets ever. Hoping to see you again at Rina Hotel or in one another of our over 30 properties all over Italy. Best regards.

Staff were friendly and accommodating when we asked to be moved to a different room due to the noisy supermarket early in the morning. Buffet was OK, although it was disappointing that no water was available for half board customers - all had to be paid for. Great location although more useful if you have a hire car, as quite a walk (3-5 km) to the old town. Budget place that's good enough to stay for a short holiday.

The Hotel Rina is the kind of place where famous American writers of yesteryear might frequently return, "Mr H. always stays at the Rina" would be fitting prose. Nothing trendy or chic here, just a timeless and endearing charm about the place. As mentioned by some, the service and friendliness of the staff is outstanding. We stayed in an apartment, which gave us the space and facilities to relax a little more than a regular hotel room. The kitchen unit was more than sufficient but little extra's like kitchen towels and electric kettle are not provided. This seems very much the Italian standard/system and small additional things we required were easily and cheaply bought at the local supermarket, just one minutes walk from our door. The pool area was particularly quiet and charming, no noisy children or loud music! The adjacent area has many apartment buildings and it is where many Italians own or rent their summer home, this again only adds to the charm of the place as you really are on holidays - with the Italians! I really can't praise the Rina high enough, authentic and friendly, two very simple things that very few hotels actually do achieve.
