This is an affordable place to crash if you are arriving/departing from Bari. Rooms are quite large and amenities are very basic. Service was very good and the hotel is conveniently located next to the highway and gas stations.
What a wonderful hotel. The rooms are very spacious and extremely clean. We had 3 single beds and a full kitchen. Our room had a balcony over looking the main street. If I would have know how beautiful this hotel, town, and amazing staff was, I would have stayed longer or stayed there after my cruise. We had a cruise with MSC leaving from the port of Bari and stayed at Rondo the night before. I have to say GATANO went over and beyond the call of duty in provided comfort and fulfilling all our requests. A true gentleman very patient and kind! I would stay here again and again! I highly recommend this hotel. Also not far from the Airport - doesn't matter as it is a flat rate to and from the Bari airport. Close to the main town also and port.
This is a cover nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are quite large. However, we were a group of wine and spirit professionals and journalists. We toured wineries and had a miriad of meetings with producers from southern Italy. We had very long working days and when we got back to the hotel, we wanted to sit outside and unwind with a drink and some camaraderie. However whenever we returned, at 9, 10, or 11, the bar was always closed. Very disheartening. We had to walk down the street to a local bar rather than relax at our own hotel. Left us feeling unsatisfied and the hotel left a lot of potential revenue unrealized. I suggest they learn to adjust to their clientele. It would be much better for the hotel and the guests.
Nice and quiet hotel in a central location. Excellent for a long term stay for business or otherwise. Huge room was clean and well maintained. We had a good night's sleep both nights of our stay. King sized bed was a bit lower that most I've experienced. Small bathroom was clean and in great shape. One person at a time. No bathtub, but the shower was very functional with good water flow. I was able to leave with a dry floor outside the shower cabin when I finished unlike many other hotel baths. Breakfast was a very enjoyable continental buffet with a reasonable, but not expansive, selection from salty to sweet. Service was solid. Friendly and always available but never intrusive. The room also had a kitchette available for a longer stay.
We were quite surprised as to how great a Hotel this was. The Hotel and our room were clean and comfortable with air conditioning that actually worked. We found the staff to be very accommodating. The continental breakfast in the bar/restaurant was very good as well. The elevators are on a par with any in the US. The Hotel wifi was a great perk. We were able to use VOIP with no problems. Our room lighting was adequate. The television included over 100 channels. The only problem with that is the channels kept cutting out ever few minutes. The previous comments about noise are to be expected in a concrete building with all tile floors. However with the AC turned on, the sounds were never a problem for us. The location for us was perfect. If you are looking for some nearby nightlife, there is an English style pub a block away with good food and owners. If we ever get this way again, we would definitely stay here. Thank you to the staff and management of the Hotel Rondo.…
