Location is great, staff is very caring and eager to make the customer experience something to be remembered. Rooms as extremely well maintained and clean. Breakfast buffet is delicious and various. No complaints other than I wish I would've stayed longer
Our enjoyment of Verona was only enhanced by our four days at the Giuletta and Romeo hotel. Everything went smoothly. We were really impressed at how good the air conditioning functioned. We had been traveling around Italy for five weeks in a heat wave and most hotels had trouble cooling the rooms. There was no problem here.
Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Superior room with balcony was very spacious. Beds were a little hard and could be a bit softer. Very close to the Arena, restaurants and shopping centre plus the hop on hop off bus route.
We were really pleased we stayed here. the location of this hotel is really great, less than a one minute walk from the arena and really close to other attractions. The l staff are extremely friendly and helpful, it is spotlessly clean. Our room was probably slightly on the small side but more than adequate for the amount of time we spent in it. If you were to stay again I’m not sure we would pay for breakfast as the buffet was nice but possibly a bit basic for us and there are so many eateries on the doorstep. All in all this is a great hotel.
Location location location! Perfect location, just steps from the arena. Very clean room, good air conditioning, and nice big balcony. Room is pretty bare bones but comfortable. But for location you can’t beat it. Would recommend if staying in Verona.
I have lost count of my stays at this property, but I think my recent trips was the fifth time I've stayed there. The hotel is not the Four Seasons but it doesn't need to be. The location is everything, and the staff is truly the best in the business. They are the reason that I would not stay anywhere else in Verona. I won't go into detail, but suffice to say that these ladies are creative problem solvers par excellence. Some of the people in my group had various issues (which were not at all the fault of the hotel) and in each case these Wonder Women were able to find a solution in very short order and probably under a lot of stress at peak season. They may not be wearing capes, but I promise you they are all heroes. As for the rooms, they are very comfortable and the air con works great! Each room is different, though, because of the historic building. A superior room will get you something extra but it can vary--a balcony, a bigger bathroom, more space in the room, etc. But any one room might not possess all of those characteristics, so let them know when you book if something in particular is important to you. There are no guarantees in peak season and with a full house, but they will keep your preferences in mind if at all possible. If you're attending the opera, there's no better spot for the one-minute commute to the arena. If you are sitting in the floor section/stalls/orchestra/poltrone you can even leave at intermission, go to the nice clean bathroom in your room, and then go back to the arena. Meanwhile, down at the restaurant next door, you may hear occasional (good) singing until the wee hours on opera nights. If you are sensitive to noise, you might want a room that does not face the street. On the other hand, if you're in Verona for the opera, you would consider this a bonus!…
This hotel is nicely situated for the opera and the staff are very helpful and friendly. However, the room is small and the air conditioning was sub-standard. Reasonable if you can get a room for under €200 but otherwise over-priced compared to surrounding hotels.
Excellent staff, so welcoming. Provided us with cushions for the opera in the Verona arena (a must when in Verona in the summer!) and also gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Also great breakfast, some of the most extensive choice possible. Only downside is maybe the size of the rooms but that’s not too strange considering the location (50m from the Roman arena)
The hotel is located in an ideal place for sightseeing in the city at any time of the day. The room was clean and equipped with everything necessary. The breakfast was rich and everyone could find something for themselves.
We stayed here for 3 nights after our flight got cancelled. The location is brilliant, near the arena, shopping and restaurants. The rooms are quite small as it is in an old building in the very centre of town, but the beds are comfy, air con works, bathrooms are fine. The staff are all so charming and helpful, in both English and Italian, helpful with recommendations and bookings. Book direct and you may get a better room or a cheaper upgrade.
