Albergo Mazzanti was a wonderful place to stay during a short trip to Verona. Staff were welcoming and attentive, and the hotel services were excellent. The location was terrific - just steps from Piazza Erbe yet hidden away enough to avoid noise from crowds gathering. Lots of options for breakfast, and a pleasant room to dine in. The double room was very comfortable and had beautiful features. I hope to return again soon.

To begin with the positives: this hotel as has been referenced in many reviews is superbly located, unbeatable. My husband & I booked for 2 nights at the beginning of October, our flight to Italy was cancelled 2 hours before we were to leave so we had to get a later flight to Milan instead of Verona meaning we eventually arrived at the hotel at 3.45am (10 hours later than planned) and were so grateful for the 24 hour reception. The hotel were also excellent in terms of communication before our arrival, I advised them via email as soon as I knew about our flight disruption and they replied within minutes which gave us great piece of mind. We stayed in room 206, and I have to say it was one of the prettiest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The bathroom was spacious. The not so good part, due to our late arrival we caught up with sleep so missed breakfast on the first morning, we did have it on the 2nd morning and felt we didn't miss much to be honest, it was quite average. If staying again I would skip it A central location is often accompanied by noise and that was the case here at night from the street so if you're a light sleeper it is something to consider or bring ear plugs! Our biggest issue is that we didn't have any housekeeping during our stay, as mentioned we got to the hotel before 4am and we were up and out of the hotel at 11am to make the most of our day in Verona. We returned for a break after 5pm to find the room not made up, when we contacted reception we were told the cleaners work in the morning only and as we had not left our room until 11am it was too late to have it cleaned or bed made. I've never experienced that before in a hotel and would suggest to me this is more a B&B than a hotel. For its location and attractiveness it is worth its 3 stars.

Dear CorkRoseyK, Thank You for choosing us for Your stay in our amazing Verona! We are glad You appreciated our perfect location and competence of our Staff. We are sorry if our breakfast service didn't meet Your expectations, we are surprised about Your comments considering the feedback we usually received from our Guests but we take note of Your indications to improve always quality of our services. About the housekeeping, we didn't provide to make up the room because of the "do not disturb sign" left on the door and when the maid knocked on the door in the morning nobody answered so we thought that being arrived so late at night You decided to rest a bit more. We confirm that the cleaning service has to be made within 2pm. We hope You will visit us once again in Your next trip to Verona. Best regards Management Team ALBERGO MAZZANTI

The hotel is fantastically located near to two of the most picturesque squares and the other main sights and some great restaurants. A great breakfast was included. We loved our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

We spent 4 nights here in late October and were very pleased with the location, the room and the service. The entrance is just a few steps away from the heart of the city, but it is tucked away so that noise and crowds are not a problem. Our corner room (103) was beautiful and spacious and we’d have been comfortable staying here even longer. The included buffet-style breakfast was very nice, staffed by a very pleasant man who quickly brought and cheerfully replenished our cappuccini. Scrambled eggs and bacon as well as a variety of cold cuts, breads, pastries and juices made for a substantial beginning to an active day. The front desk staff were very helpful, in particular Elisa who was there most days. She called taxis for us, recommended and booked restaurant reservations, and even phoned ahead to our next destination to find an English-speaking person who could speak with me about a guided tour in English the next morning. We would gladly stay here again on any future visit to Verona.
