The location was very good - close to the "bra" (the piazza) and the arena. We spent 6 nights there, exploring Verona and taking side trips to Padua and Lake Garda. Not 5 stars, as bed could have been better.

Hotel Torcolo is a great place to stay when visiting Verona, it is so centrally located seconds from the Piazza Bra, and besides the Roman Arena amphitheater, Opera or Juliet’s balcony, it’s a great base to visit Venice and Lake Gard were you can cruise the lake on the ferry and return by bus the same day. All the rooms...

This is a delightful small hotel in an outstanding location in Verona. If you want a large modern room with all facilities, find a Hilton or Radisson - Torcolo will give you a slice of Verona. From the ladies on reception to the views and noises of the surrounding streets it is full of character. The facilities are basic, as...

We stayed for one night and although the owners and staff are very friendly and extremely helpful we didn't think the hotel as that great. We were advised to keep our windows closed because of the noise outside but the noise trouble came from the adjacent room. We were kept awake until after 2.00 am with the three guests in...

I had a two night stay in Hotel Torcolo. I was greeted upon arrival by two lovely ladies and during my trip all other staff encountered were equally friendly. The location is superb, being a two / three minute walk to the Main square and Arena. My room was warm, clean and comfortable and full of charm and character. The...

My god, getting to the hotel right next to the main square by car and parking was a challenge. But the little 2 star hotel was fantastically service oriented in assisting me. There was at least 3 generations of women in reception to greet me and get me to my room. All my requests via email were made with a...

This place had a great location just a block in from the Piazza Brà and the Arena. We were a little worried when we walked in because the public spaces were pretty run down and not overly clean. But our room, though quite old fashioned (last update maybe in the 50s!) was clean and comfortable enough. The room was dark,...

The location of the hotel is great, the rooms clean, breakfast (extra fee) is just fine. The hotel has an elevator. The shower floor in our room was slippery. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Internet was at times very unreliable. The taxi from the station to the hotel was 9EU, but going back was 18EU. The hotel should...

Hotel Torcolo is a small hotel, so it can be difficult to get a room unless you plan well in advance. If you do, you will be rewarded. The rooms are very, and very close to Piazza Bra. The breakfast, which is confusingly only sometimes included with the rate, was top notch for an Italian breakfast. Cheese, meat, yogurt, fruit,...
