Great looking hotel, commanding great location in the old city. Service was excellent at check in and in other areas, but it was in the breakfast area which really let the hotel down big time. This is a 5 star property and charges rates to match. Breakfast was disappointing. Scrambled eggs on the buffet most often cold and rubbery, and charged extra for freshly made orders.. buffet had all the usual offerings but not much choice of cheeses. Frankly I have had far better freshly made breakfasts at humble B & Bs. To make already disappointing experience worse, the Maitre D in the breakfast restaurant was actually very rude to us. It seems parties of more than two are not encouraged to enjoy each other’s company. We were 12 people and although not all at breakfast at once we were not encouraged to sit together and no willingness to arrange tables on that basis. On one morning, the day of our friends 70th birthday, we were told in mo uncertain terms to keep quiet as we were disturbing other guests. Rooms were smaller than expected for deluxe category and for what we paid. This is a beautiful property in great location, but very snobby attitude, and I think probably deliberately so, to cater only to a certain upper class of visitor. I won’t be back.

Lovely historic hotel in the middle of Verona. Not far from the Arena (10-15 minute walk). Rooms are small, but well appointed. Bathroom was all done in Italian marble. Warm welcome on arrival and quickly shown to room and bags arrived promptly. For those with a car call ahead about reserving a spot. I believe the rate was 30e per night. Highly recommend using a navigation system (or smartphone app) to get to the hotel. Verona streets can be confusing, but our car’s built in nav had no issues Breakfast was acceptable. Small selection, but included hot and cold items. Would return to Due Torri if Verona was on the itinerary again

Visited Verona for a few nights, the Due Torri is a traditional Italian hotel with excellent service, polite staff, ornate features and a few flaws. The hotel is a little expensive, though not atypical for Italian hotels, and there a few tired features. The lifts are particularly slow and small, the size is likely a limit of the old building but the standard of the lifts isn't. The bathrooms are old, this is okay in respect to the the authentic character of the building but then this is undermined by cheap, plastic additions. The bathrooms should be updated entirely or the Grand Old Italian style committed to completely. On the plus side, the breakfast was good, wide selection and quality ingredients. Not something I take for granted in Italy. Drinks in the bar were reasonable for a five star hotel and well presented. The pianist in the lobby was good. All staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the reception/concierge service. They also made a couple of good restaurant recommendations; Antica Torretta and Ristorante Ponte Pietra. Overall, good hotel and recommended but not without issue.

Spent a weekend here with family members and whilst the hotel is in a great location, the staff could do with some training. Service in the breakfast area was poor (took quite a while to get our coffee) and also in the hotel foyer (took ages to get served a drink and quite frankly €8 for a cup of tea (teabag not leaf tea) is pushing it, even by 5 star standards. Had booked the rooftop terrace for dinner on the Saturday night, only to find that it was closed when we arrived for dinner, due to a brief storm earlier in the day. The staff made no effort to contact us to tell us of the cancellation, even though we had booked this months in advance. After complaining (and it took some complaining to get a reaction) another restaurant was booked for us at another location. We were sent there by taxi (which we later discovered was a stones throw from the hotel) and naively thought the hotel would foot the bill for the taxi, which they didn't. The rooms were nice but the showers could do with modernizing. Sadly would not return to this hotel due to the laid back attitude of the staff.

This is a well located hotel right around the corner from Piazza dell' Erbe and a short walk to the Arena. We were given a lovely room upgrade on arrival. Had drinks with some friends up on the terrace one evening, which was fun. In all, we had a really good stay here.

Dear Nevermissameal, we are happy that you appreciated the charme of this building. Our Hotel is hosted in a 14th century palace: its antique furnishing and works of art are highly valued by its illustrious Italian and international clientele. This Hotel is an historical place in Verona: these walls are the witnesses of the most important events in town from the Medieval Times. As you could realize, despite of the formal appearance, the human relations come first: we want to give to everybody a warm "Welcome" to our Hotel and to Verona. We hope to receive you again as a Guest in Due Torri Hotel.
