Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Venice is a very expensive city and this is a good option. Use the money you save on a hotel for the expensive dining and shopping! There are loads of coffee shops and restaurants nearby as well as a supermarket and a few bars. Piazza San Marco and most of the main tourist attractions are a fifteen to twenty minute walk. The hotel and room were very clean. Big and spacious. Warm and cosy in winter. Perfect for a good night's sleep. Hot shower and some complimentary toiletries are included, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a vending machine at the back which is cheap if you want a hot drink, water and other snacks. I didn't go to the roof terrace but they have nice views apparently. I didn't include breakfast but there are so many options in Venice. If you want your room cleaned, let them know the night before or they won't do it. Although reception is only there during set hours they are very helpful and easy to communicate with on email or messenger. You will get keys and can easily go in and out if you come back late or need to leave early. There is no TV in the room but I was not bothered. I am here to see Venice and only came back to sleep and shower. The staff are so nice and adorable. They waited for me when my flight arrived late at night past their normal hours. I struggled to get to the hotel as a taxi can't drive there so the one gentleman was so sweet and walked fifteen minutes in the cold to get me and then take me back to the hotel. So kind. Check in was quick. The map they give is really helpful and the gentleman gave me some good suggestions for restaurants and bars. I would recommend staying here. It's not a luxury hotel but it's clean, comfortable and close to the tourist attractions.

I have been a guest at Casa Accademia many times now, and I am always very satisfied. The equipment of the rooms is functional, everything necessary is available, the cleanliness is impeccable. Breakfast is very varied and varied by Venetian standards, from sweet to savory everything is available. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. I always love coming back here - a big thank you to the whole team!

I had an excellent stay at Casa Accademia. I needed a budget option that was well located, clean, affordable and safe - and Casa Accademia fully met all these needs. I stayed in a superior economy room which had a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, kettle and bedside table as well as an ensuite bathroom. The room was very clean. Daily cleaning is on request (and free), Breakfast was €6 and had a good selection. All the receptionists were very helpful. The accommodation is a few minutes from the Accademia Bridge - which means you are ideally located to enjoy sunrise over Canal Grande. It's easily walkable to Piazza San Marco and to the university. The Vaporetto stop is just a few minutes away. It's on the main line #1 (although line #2 is quicker). I would definitely return.

The positives: location is fantastic, and the rooms have AC which is amazing in the summer! The negatives: I checked in on Friday September 1, and immediately upon going into my room, there was stains on the toilet seat (red, clearly blood and it was obvs not cleaned), and the floor of the bathroom and the top of the trash lid was covered in nasty hair. I told the receptionist, and she cleaned my bathroom floor again for me. I also noticed blood stains on my bedsheets that were old, so clearly the cleaning crew did not even check or care how nasty my room was. I got new bed sheets and put it over the old sheets and that's how I slept...
When I was checking out, I wanted to tell the front desk person about my experiences (per the first girl's recommendation as the front desk person on Monday was apparently. more senior and can help), but he said ‘just leave, you’re checked out anyways, just go and write a review if you have complaints”. So here I am. Writing a review, because it was awful. I know this isn't a luxury hotel, but clean should be a given in any hotel!

Dear Lara, We are happy to know that you enjoyed the location of our hotel and the comfort of the air conditioning in your room. However, we would like to address some of the issues you raised in your review. Regarding your arrival, we understand that you may have been impatient due to a previous commitment, and we always try to handle our guests' requests with courtesy and timeliness, for this reason we have overlooked your rude request to pass in front of the guest who was completing check-in at the time. Regarding the condition of the room, we do our best to maintain the highest standards possible. We're sorry you had a negative experience and will do everything we can to improve. Regarding the sheets, we guarantee that they are thoroughly washed and sanitized by a professional service, so it is unlikely that they were stained with blood. We understand that you may have been disappointed, but would have appreciated the opportunity to look into the situation head-on. We also offered extraordinary cleaning, but you refused it. Ultimately, our main goal is always to ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests. I confirm that at check out you were asked to leave the hotel as soon as possible as, having completed your stay, you were no longer a guest of the hotel and your tones were once again aggressive, accusing, rude and inappropriate, causing us to fear once again for our staff and disturbing other guests. In any case, we thank you for your review which has given us the opportunity to express our position and, in any case, rudeness is never tolerated at Casa Accademia. Best regards, Francesco

Unbeatable location and all the facilities we needed for our first visit to Venice. The rooms were comfortable with the essential air conditioning and the breakfast was sufficient to set us up for the day. All major tourist attractions were in easy walking distance or close to the vaporetto.

Perfect location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants, plus the boat bus and taxi stops are only a five minute walk away. Lovely reception staff who were very helpful. One star less due to cleanliness of hotel and the pillow case not being clean / stained upon arrival. A wee freshen up in the hotel seems needed and then it would be fab!

Stayed for 9 nights - a very safe and friendly place in a great location between the Guggenheim and Accademia. The staff were fantastic, great views from the roof terrace, functioning aircon in the room. Great base for exploring the city. Highly recommended.

Great location. Quiet neighborhood. Room was not too big, but clean, a nice bathroom and a good view. Outdoor courtyard. Satisfying breakfast for 8 euros each. Able to leave bags after checking out in order to continue sightseeing. Great place! Highly recommend.

I originally booked for Ostello S. Fosca with a 3-bed dorm, but they said it was closed so they moved me to this hotel for the same price but single room. I had to make sure to arrive before 9pm since they don't serve you, but once you check-in, you can leave and enter whenever. The lady who welcomed me was really great, spoke English well, and can recommend you any places or restaurants you want to see. I got lucky and got a big room complete with en-suite bathroom and windows all the room. Bed was small, but it didn't matter for me. It also had an electric kettle and tea and coffee. Room was quiet for the night but it can get loud at the morning because of the school next door. Otherwise, I slept well. There's no daily housekeeping service, you have to email them or call them the day before to get it. Location is good considering it was next to St. Mark's square, but it took me about 25-30 minutes to get to the train station. I didn't use any other facilities or breakfast, so I can't say anything about that. Check-out was easy - I left my key in the room.

I stayed at Casa Accademia for one night. The en-suite room is quite good, as it has a nice bed, a closet, and very good air conditioner. The room and the shower are spacious. I would ask for more cleanliness, as the bathroom had some hairs in the sink. Price per night is not that cheap, about €60, but Venice is expensive. You can add €6 more to get breakfast; it is simple but does the work. Pay attention to the address they provide, as the Google Maps takes you to another place. Reception is nice.
