Exceptional! Our room was very comfortable and right on the canal (a surprise update). The staff really go out of their way to be welcoming and helpful, with great recommendations. The hotel is posh and very clean. Breakfast each morning felt luxurious, looking out on the canal and enjoying many components. The staff even arranged a complementary water taxi to Murano, where we were escorted to a glass blowing demonstration and through the show room of incredible pieces. Many thanks for this amazing stay in Venice.
If you’re looking for a great hotel with friendly staff, great location and the best balcony to have breakfast on, this is the hotel to stay at. I cannot thank Nicoletta and Stefano enough for making our stay extra special and we will definitely be returning.
Situated on the Grand Canal about a 5 minute walk from the Rialto . A small boutique hotel whose owners, Nicolette and Stephano couldn’t have made us more welcome, from answering all our queries in person before arrival to guiding us though our wonderful stay in Venice. The breakfast area was lovely over looking the busy canal. The whole team were absolutely fantastic . I would definitely come back and stay here if we are luckily enough to return the wonderful city of Venice.
What a wonderful hotel, perfect location on the Grand Canal, stylish and intimate with cool bar and great breakfasts personally prepared and served. But it is the owners who make this family concern so special. Our return flight on Sunday evening was cancelled and re-arranged for early Monday morning by BA without any further contact, leaving us to our own devices. Despite the fact that they were due to close on the Sunday evening they let us stay for another night and were even willing to be up for 6.30 so that we could get a water taxi to the airport. The second flight was cancelled on the Sunday evening and once again they could not have been more helpful. Truly exceptional hosting, and as the heading says it was like being looked after by old friends.
The hotel was our perfect dream for a Venice romantic vacation for the New Year. Our room was so comfortable (especially the bed). Everything was extremely clean and we felt very safe during Covid. Nicoletta greeted us when we arrived by our private water taxi (well worth the money). There was a bottle of Bellini in our room chilling along with some biscuits. Our luggage was lost and she helped to recover it from the airport and we did not have to worry about it at all. She booked a wonderful trip to Murano to see the Glass Factory (OUTSTANDING). Alana served us breakfast each day and it was the freshest fruit and meats and cheese along with beautiful pastries, juice and coffee. You could also order eggs or smoked salmon for 5 Euro extra. My husband love the hot chocolate. The bar was open for us at night to enjoy a cocktail on the balcony overlooking the canal. WOW! Stefano took great care of us. The bathroom shower was amazing. Also the dressing room with the closet had a heated light to keep you warm while changing. This place has not missed a single detail for creating the best 5 star experience in Venice. If you are looking for quiet and intimate….look no further.…
We were supposed to visit in March 2020 but covid had other ideas.. it was pure bliss we had a junior canal suite and the whole hotel was breathtaking. The staff were so helpful and friendly and despite being full we never heard a thing from the room. Breakfast was cute and drinks on the terrace were lovely. Easy walking distance to everywhere. Arrive by water taxi if u can!
Amazing view on the grand canal in a lovely suite with a friendly staff, great breakfast always with a view. Amazing hotel bar. Great location, everything is at a 8 minutes walk. A retro/modern furniture in the spirit of a secret Venice. I will come again for sure!
There has never been a better time to visit Venice. This magnificent city, usually overcrowded and sagging under the weight of a huge number of visitors, is beautifully quiet. It is easy to meander its many streets and to enjoy its attractions at leisure. And Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo is the perfect place to stay. Situated on the banks of the Grand Canal, less than ten minutes’ walk from the Rialto Bridge, the hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility. The rooms are spacious and beautifully presented. The staff are helpful with advice and making reservations. We will come again.
We stayed at the Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo in October to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. What a memorable stay: the location is perfect (they have their own dock which means you can take a water taxi to and from the airport, and out to dinner, anytime -- no hauling your bags through the streets and steps of Venice... and the back door leads you out through an ancient oh so quiet alleyway into a square, where you can walk to any part of Venice including the Doges Palace in 20 minutes). The concierge amazing (Thank you Christopho for the great restaurant recommendation, we loved Hostaria Bacanera WOW! Thank you Valentina for EVERYTHING including helping us when my husband forgot his wallet and having it sent home for us :) Thanks Danielo for all of your help! Thanks to the sweet bartender who stayed late to pour us Prosecco at the adorable bar! Can't beat the view from the little balcony over the Canal. OH and the breakfast was amazing, especially the fresh fruit. We will be back!…
Palazzo BARBARIGO is just a beautiful and charming base to explore and enjoy Venice. Staff is charming and helpful, rooms are comfortable and quiet remote from San Marco’s crowd and craziness. We stayed there almost ten years ago and it has not changed and remains a beautiful hotel. We highly recommend.
