We had a fantastic 10 year anniversary stay at the hotel. Nicolette was fantastic, giving us plenty of recommendations and tips on where to walk and what to see. Our room was beautiful and had the most amazing view of the Grand Canal. Comfortable, stylish, with a complimentary bottel of Prosecco and local biscuits. Breakfasts were good, with fresh fruit, cheese, meats and bread and really good coffee! Eggs available on order. We took the offer of a free speedboat trip to the glass factory in Murano and really enjoyed it. The salespeople weren’t too pushy but showed us everything and gave us coffee and biscuits, then gave us recommendations to the sights in Murano and advice on how to get to Burano from there. We’re already dreaming of a return trip and would love to stay here again!

Make no mistake, situated on the Grand Canal, the location is good and the rooms are stylish. The staff are also pleasant. So much for the positives. Considering this hotel has been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, we expected much better. On the first night, walking back to the hotel, we got completely lost in the narrow back streets (the only way to access the hotel on foot). When we called the hotel for assistance, no-one answered and when we finally found the hotel, we were told that calls were re-routed to another unmanned number. The room was moody but too dark; the canal view looked over a side canal ( not the grand canal); the safe did not work; the shower did not function correctly; the room was tired, paint peeling on the ceiling, and was not cleaned properly. The bathroom mirror was so dark it was almost impossible for me to shave or for wife my to apply make-up; the bed was hard as a board and the sheets were not changed over 4 nights. The towels were worn and threadbare. The aircon did not work; there were no in-room tea or coffee making facilities and no room service options. We were charged one euro for a bottle of tap water. Breakfast was a meagre affair, which must be pre-booked and eggs were extra... that's if the cooker worked! There is a lovely two-person balcony overlooking the canal; how nice it would have been to enjoy a cool gin and tonic watching the boats slip by... but that presupposes the bar was open. It never was. We were offered, and accepted a free water taxi ride to Murano. So far, so good, until we realised that we were transported straight to a glass factory. The demonstration was very good but, once they spotted my wife's diamond jewellery, a polite but very insistent salesman stuck to us like glue. If you want to spend £42,000 on a glass saxophone, you might appreciate the experience; we didn't. In summary, this hotel booking was an expensive mistake and I hope others do not follow suit.

While we stayed for only one night, we enjoyed the location and hospitality of the staff. Through the hotel staff, dinner reservations were made at il Referttorio and for a gondola ride that picked us up from the Canal Grande hotel location. A welcome drink and, in the morning, a nicely prepared breakfast were provided on the first floor tables. Our room was tastefully furnished and offered a view of the Canal Grande. If you’re staying at this hotel for the first time, it is recommended that a water taxi be taken. Not only is this a beautiful approach, the back door entry can be a challenge to find if walking.

We had planned our getaway based around their availability and booked to visit next week. I then get an email on the Friday to say our reservation has been cancelled as their reception staff are isolating at home due to Covid. We literally have to scramble around to find another hotel, all prices have tripled because it’s last minute. Will defo not be booking with them again.

We had the most amazing stay at this lovely small hotel situated right on the grand canal. Nicoletta and Stefano are simply amazing hosts and nothing is to much trouble. Hotel location is simply perfect for exploring all that Venice has to offer. From the moment you arrive by water taxi and walk into the reception you know you have found a gem, Breakfast or drinks on the balcony whilst watching all the boats on the Grand Canal is fabulous.

Exceptional! Our room was very comfortable and right on the canal (a surprise update). The staff really go out of their way to be welcoming and helpful, with great recommendations. The hotel is posh and very clean. Breakfast each morning felt luxurious, looking out on the canal and enjoying many components. The staff even arranged a complementary water taxi to Murano, where we were escorted to a glass blowing demonstration and through the show room of incredible pieces. Many thanks for this amazing stay in Venice.

Situated on the Grand Canal about a 5 minute walk from the Rialto . A small boutique hotel whose owners, Nicolette and Stephano couldn’t have made us more welcome, from answering all our queries in person before arrival to guiding us though our wonderful stay in Venice. The breakfast area was lovely over looking the busy canal. The whole team were absolutely fantastic . I would definitely come back and stay here if we are luckily enough to return the wonderful city of Venice.
