Had a wonderful stay. Spacious rooms in a prime Venice location. Staff very helpful. It was my first time in Venice and I didn’t know the city but the staff were so friendly to advice me were to visit, which restaurants, which cafe and all the touristic attraction places. On the second night I was so exhausted coming back from all the walking but the surprised me with a free bottle of high quality wine.
I originally booked at Palazzo san Luca for the location and I wanted to stay in a hotel where everyone had a lovely room to stay in. There were 5 of us ranging in age from 67 to 7. 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 child. I would have a room of my own, my daughter would stay with her youngest child and the 2 teenagers would share a room, I booked and then was informed (not asked) that we had been allocated a ground floor apartment in San Polo. I looked on the website and the ground floor apartment looked fine although not in the location originally chosen with 3 double bedrooms, lounge and kitchen. It looked fine. We arrived and were given directions, the entry numbers and directions and then 'informed' that the apartment was on the 3rd floor and not the ground floor. On arrival there were no lifts and many stairs - over 3 flights. Whilst we are fit, if one of us had a mobility problem it would have been impossible. Once we had caught our breath (the last 12 stairs are the killer), and dragged our luggage up the stairs we inspected the apartment to find that the 3rd bedroom was a loft space with a spiral ladder and double mattress on the floor. Not suitable for myself nor my daughter and young granddaughter who may have fallen through the gap should she have got up in the night to go to the bathroom. Luckily the 2 teenagers opted to sleep in the loft. I was disappointed. There were no instructions to be found about the apartment nor any on where to put rubbish (there were 3 mystery bins under the sink) or where to take our rubbish for collection. There did not appear to be anyone else living in the building other than us in the apartment. I had ordered some wine for us to have on arrival but that was not there and I had to ask for it to be delivered. There was no corkscrew to be found once the wine had arrived so I had to ask for that too the following day. All communication was by text message and at no time did anyone call us to see if we were OK. All in all we did have a lovely time in Venice but the accommodation was not as advertised unfortunately. I feel we had been allocated the apartment to get us away from other guests which may have been staying in the place we had wanted to stay in the first place. This was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip to celebrate the birthdays of my three grandaughters. We had an amazing time in Venice itself and San Polo is an interesting area but not what I had booked for. I will return to Venice but will not book with this company again.…
We stayed with a family of five in an appartment which is rented through palazzo san luca and situated close to campo s polo. The appartment is spaceous and clean. As it is located in a very narrow street and on the ground floor, there is no sunlight falling through the windows and you need electric light throughout the day. The sleeping sofa has seen better times, otherwise everything is fine. You cannot use the small inner courtyard. The service provided by the palazzo san luca staff was excellent, very helpful and very polite.
Palazzo San Luca is situated near Rialto Bridge and is therefore easy to access from the Airport (Alilaguna Orange line) and also from the railway station. The location is also very handy for going almost anywhere in Venice. The hotel lies by a small, peaceful campo, a bit off the busy tourist areas, and there are great restaurants nearby. Also breakfast is easily available from many places. The staff of San Luca is very friendly.
Had the privilege of staying at this guest house. We had a Deluxe Suite with 2 bedrooms that were very well appointed and large. Nice bathroom and very clean. Very close to the Rialto Stop and instructions given to get to the hotel were extremely accurate. Texts were sent with directions and pictures. Short distance to several restaurants and very close to the major sites. They were very kind and offered to iron some clothes to allow us to get to some restaurants without looking disheveled. Thank you once again. Nick
We stayed three nights here with my 2.5 year old. The room was great, clean, and perfect for our stay. Amazing location - right next to the Rialto stop. We walked everywhere. The woman working at the desk was AMAZING. She googled schedules and trains and busses to help us find the best way to the airport for our early morning flight. Then, I forgot my son’s coveted stuffed animal and I called to see if anything could be done. THEY PACKAGED IT IN A BOX WITH WRAPPING PAPER and printed out the UPS label I sent, and mailed it to my hotel in Paris. I am SO grateful. Amazing experience with amazing people.
We came for a night and the rooms were super spacious, clean and beautiful. The staff was really nice and friendly and they allowed us to leave our luggage even after check out while we went to visit a few more things. Great location next to many restaurants and shops but quiet area with not too many people. Highly recommend :)
Palazzo San Luca was a wonderful stay. We had the Gray Room and were surprised at how large it was (felt like an apartment) with a separate living room space. The location of the hotel is amazing, so easy to get to (we arrived by train, took the water bus to the Rialto stop and only walked about 5 min from there making it super convenient when lugging around bags). The staff was super helpful and friendly going as far as reaching out to provide detailed instructions on how to arrive, making themselves fully available via WhatsApp for us to send them any questions. They also proactively shared restaurant recommendations. Great spot overall!
The rooms are a good size and clean. The selling point for Palazzo San Luca is the service. Before we even got there, we were contacted to get check-in done, and directions and instructions to how to get there. The hotels location meant most of the sites we wanted to visit were within walking distance and the hotel staff made sure we had everything we needed.
This was the cutest most quaint place to stay. Upon our arrival they reassured us they would handle our luggage after we had been traveling from a cruise and were very tired. The girl at the front desk offered us water, and even walked us towards a great restaurant she had recommended. She was very sweet. When our room was ready they upgraded us to one of their suites to make us more comfortable. The suite was very big and decorated beautifully. It felt magical. Each time we were out and about exploring, we felt excited to come back to our home for the next two days! Five out of five!! Definitely a hidden gem!
