Hotel Palazzo Stern is an historical Moorish Palazzo on the Grand Canal. The location is very convenient: easy to reach, close to the main attractions and at the same time in a very Venice area. If you are looking for a unique venetian experience in the real Venice and far from the crowd of the mass tourism we are the right place to choose.

Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.

I am a Venitian lover, being there at least 15 times. I never stayed in Dorsoduro and appreciated this quiet area, not far from the train's station, Rialto, Accademia and San Marco. Amazing hotel and dream room overlooking the Grand Canal. Nice and kind people working there. I

This is the jewel in the crown of hotels in Venice. Amazing location. The team here are so friendly and helpful. There is nothing they won’t do to make your stay even more enjoyable. Away from the hustle and bustle of St. Marks & Rialto Bridge, but still an easy 10/15 minute

My wife and teenagers and I stayed at the Palazzo Stern over new year's eve and the following night and had a wonderful time. The hotel is truly an oasis amid lots of Venetian activity and buzz. It's located right on the canal across from the San Marco area near the Ponte

We've stayed twice here and in all honesty would not stay anywhere else in Venice. Location is perfect, hotel spotless, breakfast is lovely, plenty of choice and the staff are happy to deal with any request. The breakfast room inside is lovely and cool but the best place for breakfast is on the terrace, overlooking the Grand Canal, taking in the early sunshine; make sure you have a 'shooing stick' so the pigeons don't share your breakfast!

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. I confirm you that we have a boat service with a vintage boat. That service is reserved to those who book directly with us or through a selected partner. But send us an email, we will see if we can do an exception!!! Regards, Roberto
