I stayed in two hotels in Venice on my stay this one as a cheaper option and another on my return after travelling to Slovenia which was more expensive. I was a single traveller and it was my first trip alone so I wanted to stay in stay place and well located. I think this hotel was the best one... More

Clean and quiet hotel tucked away from all the bustling streets in Venice, yet centrally located at minutes away from Piazza San Marco. Hotel staff was very helpful. Our room was very clean but very small. There was barely enough room to open up our luggage. I would suggest reading the room descriptions very carefully to check out the square... More

Small hotel in great location between Rialto Bridge and San Marco, nearest vaporetto stop Rialto. Not budget but, in my opinion, good value for money (around £240 per night for a double room with breakfast)

This was a great updated hotel in an old Venetian building right in the heart of Venice. It was just a few blocks from the Rialto water bus stop and easy to get to from the train station via the waterbus and a short walk. It is between the Rialto Bridge and St. Marks so a perfect location for sight... More

This hotel was excellent. Typical small European hotel room, but bed was comfortable along with the pillows. The Breakfast was worth it alone and it is included in our rate of 101 Euro per night. In regards to the comments about the Hotel being hard to find, if you do just a little reviewing of a map before you arrive... More

Even though the entrance to the hotel is a little hard to find at first, you will be happy to have it as the hotel is tucked away, yet perfectly situated for access to Piazza San Marco and the rest of the city. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. But the two things that stood out and made the stay fantastic was... More

The staff was friendly and we had our luggage shipped from Rome that they received and timely delivered to our room. The breakfast selection was also very good and the location of the hotel is great for most activities that we planned in Venice.

Hotel is very hard to find BUT the Hotel does send out a map and directions- print these out as the directions are great - Sat Nav says you have arrived at your destination- which technically you have but you are 200 metres away from the courtyard entrance Excellent breakfast - spotlessly clean - would recommend and return Wonderful staff... Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
