Quiet hotel in a hidden Venetian courtyard, friendly staff generous room and bathroom. Located within five minutes of both Rialto and St Marks Square, highly recommended. On booking gave explcit instructions on how to find the hotel which worked evan at 11pm.

We would highly recommend this hotel to this Friends and Family. It is ideally located between the Rialto and St. Mark's Square. We would stay here again the next time we are in Venice. The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.

The hotel was in a prime location staff very friendly & nothing too much trouble. We had asked for a double room but had been given a twin room went to reception & when we came back everything had been sorted.

Loved this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights, it's in a great location for seeing all the sights but isn't noisy. Our double room was a good size, very clean, comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I don't usually write reviews but this hotel is too good not to. Definitely recommending to...

Stayed for 2 nights for a weekend break. The hotel is only a 5 / 6 minute walk for both the Rialto bridge and St. Mark's Square within a pretty courtyard. We had a beautiful large room on the 4th floor overlooking the courtyard, where the sun shone through every morning. We were lucky as were upgraded, but ignoring that,...

Perfect place to relax and enjoy Venice during our 4 day stay. Close to all art and history landmarks and vaporetto. Easy and convenient access to everyplace we wanted to see including day trip to the Lagoon. Elegant and quiet hotel with warm and personal touch. Every one on the staff made us feel welcome and special.

Dear Mrs Brigitte, Thanks for your review. Four days are a good amount of time to spend at the discovery of the island of Venice. I'm happy you enjoyed our location: it is the perfect spot from where to leave every morning and quickly reach the main museums, San Mark square and, in case of farer explorations, the vaporetto, whitout...

I travel a lot, for work as well as on personal account, and I'm positive: this is at best a 3* hotel. Poor value, rooms are old and in the worst possible taste. But perhaps I got a bad one because I booked it on booking.com, it happens a lot.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
