Ada & Roberto are great hosts! They are very kind and sincere! The homemade breakfast was heartwarming! The rooms were spacious and toilets were very clean! It's 5 minutes away from the train station and not difficult to navigate. Few downs down is the supermarket. Very convenient location!

Ada's House was a wonderful experience. Our room was very spacious with windows overlooking the canal. The B&B is very close to the train station, so it is an easy walk. There is a small grocery just a few doors away and a few doors further is a nice small restaurant with great house wine. Though close to the train...

Awesome b&b! In such a great position, so close to the station, and with the window looking right over the canal. The windows are really thick so the rooms are super quiet even when there's crowds outside. The balcony on the other side is great to have breakfast and there's even a supermarket nearby to have a quick lunch before...

This is a hidden gem of a B&B in Venice, Italy. I especially wanted to write this review since there are only 2 reviews on TripAdvisor and thought it might help other fellow travelers. Fans of Rick Steves will thoroughly enjoy this B&B. We found this B&B through a separate B&B website but ended up reserving by emailing Ada directly....

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
