Most hotels in Venice, even those that cost thousands of dollars, are musty and 'classic' so it was really a joy to find a hotel with beautiful design, modern amenities and good location. Room was surprisingly of a good size and very well-designed. We love how the flat TV was hidden behind a glass and the space behind that served as a small closet on one side and a space for fridge and safe on the other. One of the best and most efficient hotel room arrangement I've seen!

Service was also excellent: their restaurant recommendations were amazing and they kindly helped us secure reservation for other venues as well. Check-in was painless: after a long drive, we were escorted to the dining area where we were served welcome drinks while the staff took copies of our documents. A truly 5-star treatment!

On our last night, we wanted to try the hotel's restaurant and the staff obliged our request to set a table outside, on their small pier. Food was good but dining 'privately' on the canal was really an unforgettable experience.

We felt so comfortable and welcome there and promise to book this hotel again if we ever return to Venice.

It’ll ruin your appreciation of all other hotels you’ll stay in; it really IS that good. As well as being beautiful, effortlessly stylish, hilariously quirky in design & furnishing and very well located, the whole staff team were awesome. It’s not so posh you feel awkward being in city walking sportswear, and they want you to get the best from their facilities and the whole city. As with all Venice, the fun I’m finding everything (planned & stumbled upon) means all locations are great, the actual location of the hotel is especially quaint. It’s quiet, but just a few streets from the most exciting cool buzzy places and not near any over-tacky naff bits.
Cocktails may have been a tad racy in the price, but served with the style, skill & sexiness that will rival anything in the Savoy American Bar. And toj don’t drink cocktails in Venice because
you want a bargain of a night out. The rooms aren’t big but few are in Venice, but MAN are they cool! Individually styled, furnished & accessorised and plenty of room with two different little seating areas for 2 and a mahooooooosive bed.
Our room had exquisite hand cut mirrors to make the most of the light & available space, one of which had a magic hidden telly behind it.

The hotel is as surprising and unique as the city it’s in the heart of, but not naffly-so; Hermes we’re having their Christmas dinner there one night we were there and 40 of the worlds most glamorous and stylish guests looked very at home there, yet the very much LESS glamorous author or this review was made to feel just as welcomed and special. You’ll maybe pay 20% more to some other places that are. 5 star with similar facilities, but our experience suggests you’ll feel twice as special.

The quality is wonderful, the vibe so damn stylish and the staff ridiculously welcoming, but overall it’s just Fun.

Decorated by Philippe Starck, this luxury while charming hotel in Venice offers a fine and unique experience : the Venitian atmosphere with a modern twist. The hotel is perfectly located, on the Grand Canal, just near the Palazzo Grassi, 15 minutes walking distance from the San Marco Plazza. Restauration service is also very good, offering delicious fishs cooked in a venitian style.

This hotel is absolutely flawless. From arrival to departure and everything in between, it was an absolute pleasure to stay there. The location is right on the grand canal and conveniently located to lots of restaurants and museums. We had a signature grand canal suite with balconies that overlooked the canal. It was extremely spacious and beautifully decorated. There was no noise from the neighbouring rooms. The toiletries provided in the room are high quality - and there are lots of small touches which go a long way, ie the hairbrush in the toiletry kit is an *actual* brush, not one of those cheap horrible plastic ones. The shampoo and conditioner are lovely! My daughter was very impressed with the Dyson hair dryer. The mini-bar included was a nice touch as well (and let's face it, how much mini-bar food and drink are you actually going to consume when you're right in the middle of Venice?). :) The concierge service is second to none. They work via WhatsApp (or in person, if you want). As this was a quickly planned trip, I hadn't booked too many activities. With every request, it was read *immediately* and responded to or arranged within minutes! We were very sad to leave and would definitely return.

When I arrived at Palazzina Grassi I was amazed by the beautiful design from Stark.
Then the staff was so nice and helpful.
My room was a Deluxe room with a terrace. The bed was very comfortable with great linens, a lot of mirrors, and a very large terrace (I have noticed that some other terraces are smaller, I was lucky to have a large one).
The first evening I ordered room service and it was so good than after I have been to the restaurant several times.
Location is good, in a quiet area of Venice, just a few minutes walking from Accademia bridge and approximately 15-20 minutes walking from St Marco square.
It's an expensive hotel, but it's worth every Euro (the only thing missing was some slippers).
Palazzina Grassi is a lovely boutique hotel, with the nicest possible staff, delicious food, and a beautiful design.

We have traveled frequently and have stayed at many beautiful, high end hotels throughout the world, but the Palazzina Grassi surpasses them all (and this includes the 5 star Gritti Palace in Venice). From the moment we arrived, until we left, everything was perfect. The staff is professional, efficient, knowledgeable and yet friendly. Whether at the front of house, bartenders, wait staff, cleaners (the place is immaculate), all were fantastic. We took a water taxi to Murano and because there was a boat race on the Grand Canal, the taxi was a far way off; one of the staff accompanied us the entire way to the taxi. Every question was answered with a smile and the entire staff went to great pains to ensure that our vacation was memorable. The room was beautiful! Beds and pillows were so comfortable, the linens and toiletries, sublime. The shower was amazing. The mini bar was incredibly well stocked with a huge variety of excellent nibbles and drinks (because we opted for a jr. suite, the mini bar was gratis). Breakfast is served until noon (unheard of) and the food was excellent. We also had a delicious dinner there our first night. The dining room is gorgeous, as is the entire hotel. We chose a room that had a terrace overlooking the rooftops of Venice which was something out of a picture book, quiet, birds singing— just lovely. We had a most amazing experience. Thank you to all at the Palazzina Grassi. We will most definitely return. I just hope we will be able to get in!

An impeccable stay in every way! The room was pristine: cool, bright and tastefully decorated. The staff, courteous and efficient, went out of their way to make us feel at home (we have food allergies, and the chef was very accommodating, as were the wonderful team at the restaurant). It is also beautifully situated, literally round the corner from the Palazzo Grassi, at an easy distance from the Academia and the Guggenheim, and close enough to San Marco to make it comfortable walk. Simply ideal!

This is a friendly designer hotel. Staff are charming and helpful. There is a nice trendy bar and restaurant area. Room was quirky and mirror-heavy, with good walk in shower, TV hidden in mirror, Nespresso machine and digital lighting controls. The whole place is designed by Philippe Starck and you’d know it. But it boasts its own taxi dock - €65 fare to station if you pay driver. Breakfasts were tasty and freshly made, with lots of a la carte supplements on offer. Overall though this is a pricey place to stay and the sum of its parts is perhaps not as impressive as it thinks it is.

We booked a three-night stay at Palazzina Grassi for my wife’s thirtieth birthday, and we are so lucky, blessed and thankful to have been able to live such an experience. The hotel is very clean, the rooms and hotel is well designed: very comfortable and luxurious in a modern way; but most importantly, the team is extremely welcoming and friendly. From Silvia in reservations to Luca in front desk and Michele at the restaurant/bar, everybody made us feel like a privileged prince and my wife like a princess. It has been an amazing experience which I can only highly recommend. The room is very comfortable, especially for Venice. As a fifth visit to this amazing city, this is the best Palace. Thank you for making my wife’s XXX birthday incredible! 😊

We stayed in a Junior Suite; there is no view from most rooms but otherwise it is a beautiful boutique hotel, top notch service, and staff. The ladies at the reception/concierge could not have been more helpful, so nice and courteous with excellent restaurant recommendations. Can Highly recommend.
