This hotel is super charming. The restaurant is hands down the best food in Venice. The pomodoro pasta is incredible, and I canceled my reservations so I could have dinner here. The staff are very kind, and care about the hotel, guests and service. I would highly recommend this hotel which is conveniently located steps away from Venice’s tourist attractions.
Lovely, small hotel recently renovated so it looks fresh and smart and not stuffy. The deluxe rooms did not face the Canal, but had a lovely view of the patio that was available to all guests. The continental breakfasts were more than adequate and the dinner was very good. The staff was very helpful and arranged to pick us up at the airport and have a water taxi waiting-no hassle. The location was in a quiet area away from the crowds, but easy walking distance to everything.
Was really looking forward Came here for drinks mid afternoon all dressed with my wife and mother to be turned away, very rudely not very accommodating. Would’nt recommend, And won’t be retuning either, shame about it, it’s left a real bad feeling
The room was modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay there again. The hotel building was very clean.
Gorgeous room with a terrace overlooking the rooftops of Venice, and a great location for meandering the beautiful city. Very friendly and helpful service. Our second visit and still love it. Arriving by water taxi down the Grand Canal to the hotel's own pier is a bucket list experience.
We stayed in a Junior Suite; there is no view from most rooms but otherwise it is a beautiful boutique hotel, top notch service, and staff. The ladies at the reception/concierge could not have been more helpful, so nice and courteous with excellent restaurant recommendations. Can Highly recommend.
It’ll ruin your appreciation of all other hotels you’ll stay in; it really IS that good. As well as being beautiful, effortlessly stylish, hilariously quirky in design & furnishing and very well located, the whole staff team were awesome. It’s not so posh you feel awkward being in city walking sportswear, and they want you to get the best from their facilities and the whole city. As with all Venice, the fun I’m finding everything (planned & stumbled upon) means all locations are great, the actual location of the hotel is especially quaint. It’s quiet, but just a few streets from the most exciting cool buzzy places and not near any over-tacky naff bits. Cocktails may have been a tad racy in the price, but served with the style, skill & sexiness that will rival anything in the Savoy American Bar. And toj don’t drink cocktails in Venice because you want a bargain of a night out. The rooms aren’t big but few are in Venice, but MAN are they cool! Individually styled, furnished & accessorised and plenty of room with two different little seating areas for 2 and a mahooooooosive bed. Our room had exquisite hand cut mirrors to make the most of the light & available space, one of which had a magic hidden telly behind it. The hotel is as surprising and unique as the city it’s in the heart of, but not naffly-so; Hermes we’re having their Christmas dinner there one night we were there and 40 of the worlds most glamorous and stylish guests looked very at home there, yet the very much LESS glamorous author or this review was made to feel just as welcomed and special. You’ll maybe pay 20% more to some other places that are. 5 star with similar facilities, but our experience suggests you’ll feel twice as special. The quality is wonderful, the vibe so damn stylish and the staff ridiculously welcoming, but overall it’s just Fun.…
This is a fun and hidden gem, privately owned with attentive service, nice rooms and great beds. Also, fun restaurant and bar - often with a fun group of guests. To top it off, this place can be a bargain for what you get - and then you get a fabulous breakfast! Be sure to arrive by boat at the private boat.
Most hotels in Venice, even those that cost thousands of dollars, are musty and 'classic' so it was really a joy to find a hotel with beautiful design, modern amenities and good location. Room was surprisingly of a good size and very well-designed. We love how the flat TV was hidden behind a glass and the space behind that served as a small closet on one side and a space for fridge and safe on the other. One of the best and most efficient hotel room arrangement I've seen! Service was also excellent: their restaurant recommendations were amazing and they kindly helped us secure reservation for other venues as well. Check-in was painless: after a long drive, we were escorted to the dining area where we were served welcome drinks while the staff took copies of our documents. A truly 5-star treatment! On our last night, we wanted to try the hotel's restaurant and the staff obliged our request to set a table outside, on their small pier. Food was good but dining 'privately' on the canal was really an unforgettable experience. We felt so comfortable and welcome there and promise to book this hotel again if we ever return to Venice.…
When I arrived at Palazzina Grassi I was amazed by the beautiful design from Stark. Then the staff was so nice and helpful. My room was a Deluxe room with a terrace. The bed was very comfortable with great linens, a lot of mirrors, and a very large terrace (I have noticed that some other terraces are smaller, I was lucky to have a large one). The first evening I ordered room service and it was so good than after I have been to the restaurant several times. Location is good, in a quiet area of Venice, just a few minutes walking from Accademia bridge and approximately 15-20 minutes walking from St Marco square. It's an expensive hotel, but it's worth every Euro (the only thing missing was some slippers). Palazzina Grassi is a lovely boutique hotel, with the nicest possible staff, delicious food, and a beautiful design.…
