This hotel is beautiful....loved the spaciousness of the room, rooftop bar, location which was across the canal and not right at St. Mark's Square.....free water taxi to St. Mark's, but far enough away from the craziness of the many tourists visiting St. Mark's.
great value overall. if you are a honors goldmember. you get executive lounge access, spa access and can avail to an upgrade if available as well as late checkout. Lisa from front desk checked us in and was very thorough and explained all our benefits...More

We have stayed here before and it is still top notch. Location is great with shuttle directly from hotel to San Marco and other places. Rooms are just perfect, with tasteful decor and great functionality. We parked the car at the main terminal and went...More
We have been travelling for over 3 weeks and we're really looking forward to staying at this hotel as it had been recommended.
Unfortunately it was disappointing. We prepaid 415 euros for a double room with breakfast a night. I know Venice is expensive but...More
Better than average, room upgrade not worth the money. Great pool but closes early This island is a boat ride away and they charge you 6 Euro to ride back and forth -- so you easily lose an hour each day riding back and forth....More

Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic
harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

A free ferry service is provided to take you to San Marco (the main attraction) and this departs from the doorstep of the hotel every half hour up until 10:30pm (IN WINTER) so I'm sure this will be longer in the peak season. The ferry takes about 10 minutes max BUT a water taxi is shorter time because you go there direct. There's only one stop, either way. I will definitely stay there again. No inconvenience not to stay on the mainland.

My wife and I were on a Viking Ocean Cruises pre cruise extension and transfers were prepaid. We were taken by taxi from Marco Polo Airport to a water taxi by the Viking Cruises representative (Trumpy Tours and no that is not a typo!) and then took a private water taxi to the Hilton's dock. As previous travelers have suggested do contact the Hilton directly for their advice.

You can take Alilaguna's Linea Blu from port to Hilton, check timetable ahead of time to plan accordingly. The boat to airport leaves from Hilton (Alilaguna boat) and is €15 compared to €110 for a private water taxi but this boat makes a few stops and takes about 1 hr 5 minutes, cheaper but longer. It is not convenient from hotel to Murano as it could be a few water taxis to get to boat area to Murano. We took free boat from hotel to San Marco and walked about 10 mins to boat dock to Murano and made a stop at an island that was a cemetery- real cool 1600-1700's
Enjoy your trip, the hotel was great.
