Great place, small rooms but nicely appointed, with a hyper-romantic view of Campo San Stefano. Only a 10-15 minute walk from St. Mark's. Breakfast was sparse (yogurt, pastries and coffee), but the server was amazingly charming. A tip -- if you park at Garage San Marco, be sure that the hotel provides you with a stamped piece of paper to...

This hotel is the annex to the Laconda Fiorita around the corner. The main hotel is only rated a 2 star, whereas the annex (Ca' Morosini) has 3 stars and it is easy to see why. The facilities at Ca' Morosini are more extensive, such as bigger rooms and bathrooms, mini bar, air conditioning etc. The location of both establishments...

We found this hotel on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. We stayed in their apartments called the CA' MOROSINI. It was around the corner from the main hotel, over looking the Campo St. Stefano, which is a wonderful square filled with happy restaurants and young musicians playing or singing for change. Our room had all the comforts, great...

We stayed 2 nights in the Annex, Ca' Morosini in September 2003. We chose the hotel because of the location and price. The Annex, which is just around the corner from the main hotel, had been recently renovated and opened so everything was pretty new and clean. The room was very spacious with great European flare. The bathroom was very...

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
