We were lucky enough to have an appartment here, close to the church of St Paulo and Giovani< right on a canal. We caught a water taxi from the station right to the door where we were greeted like old friends and showed to our...More
An amazing location and very quiet place and friendly staff. Stefeno was extremely helpful, I got an email telling me information on how to get there and he even was so nice to help me with my luggage on my way to the port. The...More

Stay one night on the 16th June 2009 with daughter. A very pleasant experience. Clean shared bathroom, air-cond, breakfast in bed at a very reasonable price! Location was fantastic, about 4 minutes walk from St Mark's Square.
Good points: liked the location, friendly and professional manager, room was clean and just fine for our needs (stayed in upstairs bedroom) and aircon worked well and quietly. Price in line with fair value for venice. Manager spoke excellent English.

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
