Pros: - excellent location, near vaporettos and pretty central. - comfy apartment - quiet Cons: - No reception desk. Organized Airbnb style. So do your homework before because there is no one to give you infos. - They prefer cash. Like all Venetians. :)

My poor old dad is 82 and I really wanted to find something actually close to the sites, so abandoned hotels and went with them and booked their apartment. For the amount we paid we wouldn't have been able to get any decent form of hotel in Venice that close and that nice. Roberto was really a lovely man showed... More

I originally attempted to book the attic room with Roberto and Marina but instead was directed to their apartment . The directions from the Giardini Vaparetto stop were easy to follow and provided quite the beautiful entry for our visit to Venice. Roberto escorted us to the apartment and up a long narrow stairwell to the 3rd floor. The apartment... More

My husband and I had booked the attic apartment, but due to overbooking, we where offered an apartment just round the corner from the original apartment. The apartment was spotless, and very bright. Bed was very comfortable, and there where extra pillows and blankets available. Kitchen was contained in a large cupboard, had a fridge, sink, and a two ring... More

I have visited Venice three times with my family. Normally we stay at a hotel "downtown", but this time we decided to book an apartment. We found this lovely apartment - at Roberto and Marina - placed in a local and very authentic area that it still very close to San Marco Place. I will absolutely recommend BB Giardini to... More

We have been for three days in this B&B ,in an apartment with kitchen , the place has all you need, comfortable and clean . The location is only 10-15 minutes walking from San Marco's square and the people in charge are really nice and helpful. A very good experience for a family trip!

We stayed in a one-bedroom flat off the Via Garibaldi in Venice, Castello. This flat is managed by Marina and Roberto who also manage B&B Giardini. The flat has all the essentials: - location (quiet residential area away from crowds, but all attractions are still very close), - close to transport (Vaporetto to anywhere in Venice, and Alilaguna to Marco... Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
