This was a perfect choice for our two night family stay in Venice. Our family of four was comfortable in a junior suite (actually the room pictured on the hotel's main tripadvisor.com page). Even though this was really one large room, it was spacious with our large beds and two twins for the kids. The bathroom was large as well.... More

Charming Hotel with all you could want to have the Venice experience. Reception and other staff where helpful and friendly for us first timers! Breakfast was amazing food with a great little courtyard you got to enjoy the Italy life. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and river taxis. First trip to Italy and I would stay there again if I... We stayed here for my wife's birthday in August. Booked a superior room because wanted a nicer room I'm glad I did because the room was right size for us so wouldn't wanted to see a standard room. I think it was little pricey for a superior room purely because it lacked few details such as a view (a wall)... More

Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo was amazing! We stayed here for four nights. The breakfast in the courtyard was delicious - beyond ample. Super convenient to the vaporetto. Quiet location away from the hordes of tourists. Spotless. Charming. Easy walk to great restaurants and plenty of shops. Friendly and accommodating customer service. My husband and I have traveled extensively and we... More

We stayed at the Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo for 4 nights before our cruise. It had great reviews and it soon became clear that these were well deserved. We had been due to stay here in 2015, but we had to postpone due to a family death. Sandro and Walter could not have been more helpful and offered us a... More

We traveled all over Italy and this was by far our favorite hotel and breakfast. We booked a Superior room (traveled with teenage son) in the main hotel. The room was still reasonably priced, large enough for the three of us and just stunning! The A/C was great and the bed comfortable. Our son slept on the sofa. The breakfast... More

Our annual visit to Venice saw our first to our "home from home" since the renovations and extension. The quality of accommodation and service remains impeccable. Walter, Sandro, and all of their staff continue to go out of their way to make the stay of all guests memorable. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly attention ensures we would never stay anywhere... More

I didn't have high expectation for this hotel, all this talk about 2 star kept me open minded. Access to the hotel is very straight forward, just take a vaporetta to the san stae stop and its literally a 1 minute walk to the hotel, you can go left or right to the property from leaving the boat to 2... Where to begin? When we first arrived in Venice we had booked a 270 euro airport transfer from GoOpti which turned out to be a scam and we ended up having to use public transport. The gentleman at the hotel tried to help us out as good as he could which was really nice of him. He also gave us... More

Stayed here with my son in August. First, the hotel staff was amazing. The gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful, arranging tours, reservations, and any other requests the guests had. The ladies at breakfast were equally helpful and nice. The rooms were very clean, and comfortable. The location can't be beaten! Only about 50 meters from Station Stae... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
