This is not a hotel, more of a motel or hostel. Thank god it's over. Extremely rude and unhelpful at reception. I found hair in my shower, towel was dirty. They didn't inform us that their check out is at 10 not 12 and so they called us in our rooms and literally said "get out now" while the housekeeping... More

Our communication was easy, turn left after the bridge...then down a narrow corridor, forward. The room was clean, modern, well thought out design wise, please see photos! The wi-fi connection was clear and the breakfast was a great amount and good. We highly recommend.

I love that the hotel was in a quiet location--away for the major tourist hubs but still of walking distance to it. Room was spacious and well lit. I just feel that hotel could be better cleaned. Floor feels kind of dusty and at times sheets look clean but would feel itchy.

Had one amazing and huge duplex room (by Venice Standards) for the family... The kids were delighted with the size and had a ball of time going up and down . The hotel is very centrally located, transport next door. It was a bit peculiar that this luxurious hotel did not have any kind of standard hotel ameneties..gowns/irons/slippers . The... More

Very centrally located, adjacent to the Accademia bridge. The triple room was just the right size with no extra space. Bathroom was good, but small. Minimal but decent spread for breakfast. Absence of porter services (across Venice I guess) is a let down as we had to drag our luggages all the way through the bridges into the hotel. If... More

Booked two quadruple rooms and a twin room for three families. The quadruple rooms have split levels for parents and kids - more like an apartment. The water taxi can drop you at the hotel doorstep or you have to get down at Academia bridge by water bus, and cross over to the other side. They could have room safes.... More

A cozy hotel situated in the center of Venice. The rooms are spacious compared to other similar hotels in the area. Breakfast can he improved with more selections. Lots of restaurants around Academia area. Overall a very good experience

Do not get impressed by the outside picture from the canal grande! The hotel is situated in the backside of the palazzo. All rooms are very small, very small reception (just an desk), breakfast is very poor - nearly no choice of anything. Breahfast room looks like a waiting hall in a train station. It seems, that you can let... More

Stopped two nights great place, right on academia bridge and great for nearby restaurants fab eating places just over the bridge. Rooms modern and clean, comfortable bed, wifi and breakfast area just outside the room. Could be a bit noisy from 8am with others getting breakfast, but only 6 rooms on each floor. I like a lie in on hols... More

Stayed there with family in a 2-story apartment - best place I've ever stayed in Venice. Comfy beds, good A/C, helpful staff, good free internet, and great location. It's a couple minutes walk from San Marcos, Coop market a couple minutes in the other direction. If coming from the airport and have a group, spend the money on motoscafi -... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
