There is loads of character associated with Corte 1321. Breakfast in the courtyard is magnificent with the sites of Venice nearby. The room is very well finished and furnished with a small fridge the only missing consideration. The onsite staff are excellent and very helpful for first time visitors.

Beautiful, spacious, modern room and bath - very comfortable. We loved the location in the San Polo district with a number of excellent, small family-run restaurants within easy walking distance that were recommended by the owner (Amelia) and the concierge (Vanessa) - they both very kindly made dinner reservations and Vanessa was a wonderful resource who gave us many valuable... Room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom was clean and nicely renovated, friendly staff. Overall a good stay! My Only complain is the breakfast! Not too many choices for breakfast! Not what I expected!! Two small bowls of old cereal, yogurt and bread! No slices of bread to make a toast, no toaster! Did not offer us anything else!!!... More

We stayed for three nights in April. Pretty B&B that was in great location. Staff helpful (we had problems with the door lock), helped us with restaurant booking & travel information. Lovely breakfast whether served on terrace or in room just a little disappointing they were unable to offer much choice when leaving before 8.30am. Only thing missing from room... More

Dear Guests, Thank you for your lovely review. I am sorry that we couldn't provide you with a complete breakfast before 8:30. We do normally arrange a continental breakfast for earlier breakfast requests. We will absolutely make sure that box tissues are in every room. All the best, Amelia More

We had a truly wonderful stay at Corte 1321. The B&B is tucked away behind an anonymous exterior but inside the gate is a gem of an oasis. The courtyard is lovely and quiet and our room was sleek and extremely comfortable. The location is great -- an easy walk to the Rialto bridge or steps away from the vaporetto.... More

We spent 3 days at this lovely B&B, run in a familiar style. The suite we booked was perfect to accomodate a family of three (the bathroom was a proper one, with two sinks and a large shower!) and nicely furnished. The location is simply wonderful, in the San Polo district ("sestiere") and at half-distance from literaly everywhere in Venice;... More

We absolutely loved our stay at Corte 1321. Vanessa was a great hostess, and gave us loads of recommendations on places to go to and INCREDIBLE food spots. In fact, contrary to our expectations, Venice turned out to have the best food of all the places we've visited in Italy - and we spent the last 2 weeks in Tuscany... More

I first discovered Corte 1321, when it was written up in the March 2009 issue of Conde Nast Traveller. I added the article to my "Venice" file, and waited seven years to finally make my way back to this magical city again. The location is great, in the less-touristy San Polo sestiere, and the weathered 15th-century palazzo was just perfect... More

I stayed in the family suite in Corte1321 for a long weekend with my mum and we were delighted with it. The location is great (5 mins to Rialto Bridge) and the suite was well appointed and spotlessly clean. The front door opens onto the little courtyard where we had breakfast every day (continental style, nothing fancy but very tasty!).... More

We loved our stay at Corte 1321, a comfortable room with lots of thoughtful extras, a really convenient position, five minutes from the Rialto and a very pretty courtyard. The star of the organisation, however, was Vanessa who gave us the warmest of welcomes, and was always available to give advice on restaurants, routes, and the glories of Venice. She... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
