My family of five stayed one night in the three bedroom apartment before we departed on a cruise. We arrived straight from the airport via water taxi around 11:00 am. The hotel held our bags and recommended a great restaurant near by for lunch. After lunch, we had tour of the city and returned to the hotel exhausted. The apartment... More

We LOVED Hotel Tiziano. It's location is perfect- just far enough away to create a respite from the tourist areas yet still convenient. We had originally booked a hotel room for four, and when we checked in they said there was a problem with the room, so they upgraded us to their apartment free of charge! It was a beautiful... More

It was quite hard to find the Hotel Tiziano (our map of Venice was not very detailed) but when we finally arrived and were shown to our family room on the top floor we were delighted. Spacious room with a bathroom that had a bath and shower overhead. Good wifi. Air con was adequate. Quiet hotel with a lot of... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, 3 rooms booked 6months in advance. Upon arrival they upgraded our room to the apartment which is excellent, so much room and space and there can be no complaints. The hotel is very quiet at night too. The breakfast is simple yet filling and a good start to the day. The hotel itself... More

Location in Duosodor was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle while still being conveniently located to access the Acvo and Actv buses for transportation to the airport and other sights. Hotel Tiziano sits right alongside a canal. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Someone was always available. Complimentary breakfast included an assortment of items, such as yogurt, cereal,... We enjoyed very much our stay at Hotel Tiziano. It was a great decision to stay a bit away from the crowdy central tourist attractions: Positive - Clean and spacious room and bathroom - Calm neighborhood, great sleep - very friendly and helpful staff - far enough from central turist attractions and at the same time close enough to reach... Nice and clean, lovely quiet location, really helpful staff. It was a nice bonus to have breakfast included. The breakfast was simple but did the job. It was really nice to be able to order any kind of coffee and have it made fresh too!

Family of five stayed in a two bedroom apartment that overlooked a canal. We all loved our stay in Venice largely due to the excellant service from the people at the front desk. The hotel is located in a quieter area of Venice but in walking distance to all of the maik attractions. Breakfast is also a great way to... More

This little hotel was spotlessly clean and was everything we expected it to be. Although it is a little "out of the way" this is compensated for by the total quietness apart form the loud thunderstorms! Breakfast is a self service continental style but with a good variety of food and certainly more than we would normally eat at home... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
