Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.

After finding the hotel (which was a bit tricky having arrived at night - it's really only 10 minutes walk from the bus station). We had 3 nights here so we could do 2 full days in Venice. Excellent service, nice room with plenty of space, nice walks into Venice and good

From begining to end this hotel was a dream. from arriving at the hotel and then realising we had both forgotten our hone chargers leading to the hotel letting us leave our phones in reception every night to charge them up (which was essential as navigating the tiny streets of

I don't recommend it as it is far from the station and for tourists it is difficult to reach there with luggage. It's better to be near station and bus stop. Everything apart from this was good clean rooms and helpful staff.

Dear Mr Komal, thank you very much for your review and for appreciating our staff. Venice is unique and it is no possible for every hotel to be located near the vaporetto station. Looking better the transport information, it is easy to realize there is a vaporetto from the train station that stops in Santa Marta station. From there is it only 5 minutes walking with only one bridge to cross. We hope to see you again. Best regards

The place felt new but still maintained a certain charm about it. The location is in a very quiet area, about 30 minutes to San Marco but only about 15 minutes from the train station, which is exactly what we were looking for.

Loved my stay at this hotel. The building and the interior felt uniquely Venice. The rooms, as the title suggests felt very homely and were much bigger than I expected. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with my typical tourist line of questioning. It is set in a

I highly recommend Osteria Da Codroma (on Fondamenta Briati - a 5 minutes walk from hotel Tiziano). It is famous for its cicheti and seafood - the freshest ever bought daily from the Rialto market. It is very popular with locals and it is advisable to book to eat there in the evening.

We initially wanted to take a water taxi from the airport ,but ultimately the cost and time didn’t seem worth it for us. The quickest way - especially for this hotel - is to take the bus to Piazzale Roma, then walk to the hotel. It’s a 10-15 minute walk from the bus drop off if you don’t get lost. We did take a wrong turn but recovered pretty quickly. We just bought tickets at the airport, not in advance. A lot of people think taking the water taxi is a “must” for its romanticism. I didn’t feel that way. There are plenty of other ways to see the city from the water at lower cost and at a time when you can enjoy it and not be jet lagged or anxious about getting to your hotel.

How far from the hotel are the apartments? Is breakfast served at both locations?
There are a few locations for the apartments, the larger ones are about 200 meters away as described by Endoftired and just across the courtyard as Wisconsin stated. I was in the one just across the courtyard. Breakfast is served in the hotel only, in a quaint dining area adjacent to the front desk. This was not a problem as it was a few seconds of walk time for me. You might be able to have them deliver breakfast items to your room at an additional charge, but I never bothered to ask because the hotel was so close. The breakfast selection consists of caffe, juices, breakfast rolls, cookies, breads, cereals, meats, cheese, and other items typically associated with an Italian breakfast. There was also a boiler to poach eggs for those who prefer eggs to start their day. I did not use it, but it was nice have the option. Hope this info helps and have a great trip!

It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. It is about an hour from the airport on a water bus. This is not on a main canal, most hotels are not. There are no city buses in this part of Venice. You can take a bus from the airport to the main train station. From there you take a 2 minute trip to Santa Lucia. From Santa Lucia station, you can access water buses or get directions and walk almostvanywhere in under 30 minutes.
