The Residenza is centrally-located and less than 15 minutes from the station. We arrived late after messaging Davide, one of the owners, and to our grateful surprise he waited for us in the nearby square in case we had trouble finding the place. My husband and I stayed in the superior room, which was very comfortable, beautifully furnished, immaculately tidy...

Davide, the proprietor, gave us an exceptionally warm welcome. The reception room is spacious and has wonderful views across the city. Our bedroom with ensuite bathroom was large and well equipped.Breakfast was available from 8-10am and served at the large table in the main reception room with the other guests. Residenza Ca'Dorin is located very centrally being 10 minutes from...

Dstayed here with my fiance in September 2016 for 2 nights. B&b is in a good location in the middle of venice. Davide was a great host - really friendly & helpful, put on a good breakfast with croissant, fruit, meat, cheese, yogurt etc. It's a lovely old house on the 3rd floor (there is a lift). We stayed in...

Cannot say enough about the hospitality of Davide and the great location location of this place. This BnB is located in a historic building, built in 1720, but thoroughly modern and updated on the inside. Main entrance leads into a leafy and shaded cobbled courtyard. Elevator is small and a bit quirky. Rooms in this apartment are huge and with...

We where there for three nights. Maybe not the cheapest place but Venice is expensive in general. The room was very nice and spacious. I wish the floors would be heated as the stone floors get quite cold. The view was excellent. You can see the rooftops of Venice. The owner was very attentive. The included breakfast was tasty and...

We stayed for just one night in the shared bathroom room. The location is very close to Rialto bridge and spacious Campo San Polo.On the 3rd floor of an old building with an elevator. Beautiful view from dining room, a canal view from our window. Davide was very kind and hospitable, always around when we needed something. We'll try to...

We just returned today from beautiful Venice. We stayed 2 nights at David & Veronica and had a wonderful time. Its a private home, beautiful with old fixtures, the furniture takes you back in time, the location is amazing once you get to walk around for a bit. The house is located in a huge beautiful square, 10 -20 minutes...

The room was clean and comfortable, we had a room with shared bathroom, but it was fine and it was clean. Breakfast was good, well prepared. The owner was very nice and this place is in a very good location, right at the square.

This B&B is in a great location in the heart of Venice - not far from the Rialto bridge and only a short walk to Pizza San Marco. The hosts were friendly and attentive and did everything they could to accomodate us. The room was always clean, with fresh sheets every day. Overall a perfect stay - couldn't have been...

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
