Ca' Maria Adele great little boutique hotel in a great location very close to the Salute Vaporetto station. The staff are very friendly and professional, the rooms are beautifully furnished and clean. The breakfast can be a bit hit and miss but everything else about the hotel is fantastic, hence 5 stars!

We stayed here for 3 nights back in March (2016). From the moment we arrived by boat (Highly recommend a private boat transfer from the airport) we were made to feel welcome and special. This boutique hotel felt steeped in history and the bedrooms didn't disappoint. I highly recommend easting breakfast on the roof. All the staff couldn't do enough... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay in this chic and magical boutique hotel, in the lovely Dosoduro area, opposite the beautiful Santa Maria della Salute, and just off the Grand Canal (the Salute ferry stop is a 2 minute walk). The hotel is beautifully furnished with luxurious rooms and bathrooms (great bath products, thick fluffy white towels) and a... More

We are regular visitors to Venice and thought we would try out this hotel which has been getting great reviews. We love the Dosoduro area and so this was perfectly located away from the crowds of San Marco etc. The water taxi can take you straight to the entrance and the staff welcomed us with prosecco and biscuits. It is... More

Easy to find, lovley welcome, great advice on local attractions and restaurants but there were a few minor repairs tat could make it a 5 star. The dining table really was not suitable as it overbalanced. Overall would I stay again.... yes absolutely !

Well positioned away from the crowds next to a canal. The rooms are very well appointed and the service first class. Breakfast available either on the terrace or 1st floor breakfast room or in your room. Order the night before and it will be delivered to your specified location. All rooms are accessed by stairs and some are steep. There... More

From the moment we arrived a Ca' Maria Adele, walking literally steps from the vaporetto stop over a quaint bridge into the lobby, we were relaxed and comfortable. After a long sweaty journey we were greeted by a glass of prosecco and soothing music in a dark sitting room. This place has a zen-like, quiet, intimate feel, and we often... More

Ca' Maria Adele is 'good' but not 'excellent' and doesn't quite live up to the hype. Yes, it is beautiful and well located, and the staff provide a friendly and helpful service. The negatives include: small rooms with poor wardrobe space and general storage space, small windows, limited views, no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, poor wifi (the wifi... More

Stayed here with my husband in mid June. We had room 226 which looked out onto the church and also the side street . The views were lovely and I enjoyed watching the young children running into the school nearby. In our room we had a wardrobe with a rail and just a curtain covering it, two shelves below the... We loved our stay at the Ca' Maria Adele!!! We could look out of our window at the most beautiful church in Venice and the canals! The room had blue brocade upholstered walls for a very quiet sleeping situation. Luxurious linens made for comfortable snoozes too! Walk or water taxi/bus to all Venice has to offer!

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
