The bed and breakfast was everything it was advertised to be and more. We had a room with a terrace, and spent a night there that we will never forget. And breakfast the next morning made it even more memorable.

In the middle of all the action and close to the water bus so a good location. Staff were friendly and really helpful especially when my adapter didn't work. Rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. If arriving at night especially really late, make sure you arrange an airport transfer as its hard to navigate Venice and ends up... More

This lovely B&B was perfect for 2 families traveling together. The large room actually had 3 bedrooms. The breakfast was the best of our trip and fueled us for the day of walking. Staff very helpful. Beautiful view of canal out main window. Good location .

We are a family of five and had booked the family room. I had envisaged that this would be one room for all five of us so we were thrilled to see that it was a suite with three separate bedrooms sharing a bathroom and a lounge area. Breakfast was delicious particularly the freshly squeezed orange juice. Excellent value for... More

We stayed in a triple room at Ca' Angeli last week and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the S Silvestro Vaporetto stop and has lots of restaurants and stores near by - we really liked the location as it was central to everything in Venice. The room was spacious and clean,... More

The Ca Angeli was nice and clean, and in a good location. The 4 out of 5 is due to a bed that was too hard. Really hard! Georgio check us in when we arrived at midnight and was very informative. He told us about the area, and the best ways for us to get back to the airport at... More

We spent three nights here and found the hotel to be in an excellent location for viewing the sights. It did take us a while to find the place from the vaparetto stop initially but that's Venice :) The room was very comfortable - it overlooked a side canal. Breakfast was excellent, with lovely views of the Grand Canal.

Lovely little hotel. Room was quaint and pretty. Breakfast room was gorgeous overlooking the canal. Owner was very helpful. Hotel is very close to the main shops and restaurants. Once you have found the hotel tucked away down the backstreets for the first time it is very easy to return to after

I booked this in advance on recommendation from friends who had recommended even though I'd been to Venice before. Location was fabulous combining easy access to Grand Canale, vaporetto, shops, etc with quiet back street. Our room was small but had huge rooftop balcony which we used to chill out between sightseeing in early part of HOT day and evening... More

We stayed in Ca' Angeli for our first trip to Venice, and we are very glad we did. We arrived by vaporetto from the central station and found the hotel easily through the winding narrow streets thanks to the information we received when booking directly through their website. We were also lucky enough to be upgraded to a large room... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
