We can't say enough about this amazing B&B. The home was lovely, the rooms were very comfortable and Grace and Riccardo simply made our time in Venice perfect. They were so enjoyable to chat with and offered great advice for interesting, local things to do which made Venice the highlight of our trip to Italy.
What a fabulous stay! My wife and I stayed with Riccardo and Grace for our twenty-fifth anniversary, and we couldn't have been happier. They were as gracious, friendly, and helpful as you can hope for, rooms were spacious and clean, and the location is perfect - two minutes to San Marco Square, five minutes to Rialto Bridge. We would absolutely stay with Riccardo and Grace on our next visit!
Ricardo is an amazing host. A lifetime local who loves his city, he will give you great recommendations and steer you away from tourist traps and point you towards local haunts and secret watering holes. The accommodations are quaint and traditional and the location is perfect. Just a five minute walk to San Marco square and the Rialto Bridge. Includes a Great Venetian-style breakfast and morning conversation with Riccardo to get your day started! Highly recommended!
My husband and I stayed in the Fradei (Brothers) room which was spacious, had it's own bathroom, furnished with lovely antique furniture, mattresses were super comfortable and there was a lovely antique Murano glass chandelier. Breakfasts were delicious with robust, rich and nicely balanced coffee, tasty croissants and breads, jams, butter, fruits, yogurts, nutella, tea and juice. There were chocolates on our pillows when we arrived which was a nice touch. The best part about this beautiful B&B were Grace & Riccardo our gracious hosts. They made us feel very welcomed as if we were not just guest but family. They went out of their way to help us with direction, with our itineraries, recommendations and said we could reach out to them at any time with questions and if we got lost. Prior to our arrival Grace & Riccardo were very easy to communicate with. They sent us detailed instructions on how to get to their B&B along with other relevant and useful information regarding Venice. I highly recommend staying at Corte Campana. You will feel welcomed and will want to return. We look forward to staying there again!…
Where to start having had such a superb experience? Well, it looks as good in real life as it does on their super website. You have the facility to use the lounge breakfast room in addition to your own large room. Breakfast is super simple Venetian. You get the immediate impression that both Riccardo and Grace are on the ball with swift replies. The direction on how to get to them with boat timings and pictures on the route are superb. On your arrival the reception is excellent and Riccardo and Grace soon become best friends. Grace will give you a basic map and then populate it with locations you want to see, to eat, drink, get the best views, the markets, museums, tips on saving money I could go on forever about the boats and more. They have a great library of books about Venice to tempt you. We spent a week with them which was just about long enough for a good taste of the locale. Riccardo and Grace add another 50% to the experience you will have. They are like having your own personal travel agent and advisor. They are bound to become swamped with bookings so get in soon! …
Riccardo and Grace are two very lovely people. They definitely made our trip to Venice much nicer than it would have been without them. They gave us so much insider information and tips that our 2,5 days were not enough to do and see everything. Their place is very central and very close to San Marco square and Rialto bridge but it’s also in a quiet street so there’s no noise at night. The room is also super clean. We felt very comfortable there. I definitely recommend everyone who’s planning to go to Venice to stay at their place because they are super lovely and have a lot of good recommendations what to do and where to go. Thanks a lot guys!
We can’t say enough good things about the week we stayed at Bed & Breakfast Corte Campana. Ricardo and Grace were the most friendly hosts we have ever met. They went above and beyond to welcome us into their B&B, answer all our questions, and provide great recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and things to see, all shown on Grace’s amazing map of Venice. Breakfasts were a wonderful time to chat and get any questions answered. They even put a little Happy Birthday sign on our morning croissant after learning it would be our birthday! The location is excellent – three minutes from San Marco, eight minutes from the Rialto Bridge. Our huge room was lovely, with a comfortable bed, plenty of closet space and hangers, a comfortable place to sit, and two big, beautiful windows. Even though we were so close to the center of Venice, at night our room was completely silent. It truly was the quintessential bed & breakfast experience and if you are looking for a friendly, welcoming, and truly Venetian place to stay, Bed & Breakfast Corte Campana should be at the top of your list.…
We were the last guests of July, before the Italians go on vacation themselves. So we had Riccardo all to ourselves. He was a tremendous host and guide to the city. Instead of providing breakfast, he asked if we would like to go out to breakfast with him to his favorite spots each day. You walk through the narrow alleys, and every few seconds it's "Ciao, Riccardo". He literally grew up here and knows everyone. If you want to see Venice like a local, this is the way to do it. Sadly, we missed Grace, as she had left a couple days earlier to start her vacation. But we will be back as soon as budget and covid allow, for more great times at Corte Campana.
Ricardo and Grace were excellent hosts who gave us lots of information on what to do in the area. The beds were very comfortable with extra blankets and pillows available. The room was spacious and we really enjoyed the antique decor. There are lots of guidebooks in the lobby. We enjoyed meeting other guests at breakfast. The coffee was delicious. The B & B is very centrally located and it's easy to get to many attractions from this location. Comfortable, centrally located, and a great value. A+!
This was our favorite place in Italy. The B&B was beautiful, and it is the host's (Riccardo's) family home. Our hosts, Riccardo and Grace, could not have been more helpful and charming. Grace created wonderful maps to help us navigate the city, and both Riccardo and Grace offered incredibly helpful information regarding the best places to visit and eat, many of which we would never have found in a guidebook. They were both incredibly charming, and made us feel at home. I would absolutely recommend staying here, and we can't wait to come back! We miss Grace and Riccardo and their beautiful home already.
